joseephuss;2457099 said:I am glad he got flagged. That is why the rule was put in place about hitting a defenseless player. Unfortunately, the refs tend to use this same rule to situations that don't apply. They should send out this video to all the refs to illustrate exactly how it should be called.
He was flagged for leaving his feet or something but the NFL came out and said it shouldn't have been flagged. Wasn't illegal.cowboyeric8;2457641 said:Wow, that might be the best hit I have ever seen. Even if it wasn't legal
Or he had his head to the side going for the big hit and didn't see Troy tip the ball. It wasn't dirty more like he had it timed perfect then Troy tipped it. What do you expect him to do? Say "Mr Welker yell to me if you catch it so I can run up and hit you afterward" Hell no make a play make a hit.NIBGoldenchild;2464026 said:I like Ryan Clark, he's a former skin and wished we could've kept him....well....if we did, we may never have drafted Horton....ANYWAY! My point for posting is despite how much I like the guy, that was definitely a dirty hit. The ball was no where near Welker, and he'd already given up on the play. I know visibility is limited under a helmet, but there is no way he didn't know Welker wasn't catching the pass.
It was message hit, a "this is what you have to look forward to for the rest of the day" hit.
