Pondering where Wes Welker could end up, he could be scary if he ends up in Seattle. They have the cap room to afford him as well.

I thought Brady's resigning was in part to make a move on getting Welker retained.

Pats are going to be in the market for a big-time WR this offseason, I think. Bowe, Wallace, Welker. Who else should be out there and can make them better on offense? Jennings, maybe?

I think Bowe re-signed with the Chiefs.

Wallace would be an interesting option, but I think Miami is also interested in him and apparently has some money to throw around this year.

Re: Bowe. Thanks. I missed that.

Wallace is an interesting one, because he opens things up a lot for the right time. I think he'd be a good fit in NE with their TEs and, especially, if they'd managed to keep Welker. There'd be an awful lot of coverage to stretch.

That said, I'd be reluctant to pay Welker too much at this stage of his career, too. It'll be interesting to see what happens to him.

Another thing I was thinking with Wallace and Miami is that I think Brian Hartline is also a FA, and Tannehill needs a WR. I think they will go after Wallace pretty hard.

As for Welker, tough to say where he ends up. Seems like he's getting a bit pissed off with the Pats and the contract negotiations. And the Pats won't pay up for an aging star player . . . . but Welker fits their system very well.

He is already scary in N.E.. I think the Patriots are his best fit. He will still be good somewhere else, but the Pats get the most out of him.

Welker (and his agent) is smart to look around. There could be a once in a lifetime over the top incredible offer from another team that is just too good to pass up even if said team really stinks.

However I think Welker and the pats know he is best suited to return to the Pats.

I think this is probably just Welker and his agent telling the pats that just because both parties know they would be best together...not to make it an automatic thing that gives the pats the right to low ball him to a degree.

Here's our chance to sign a white receiver that really could be the next Wes Welker!

Isn't Vollmer a free agent? He get tagged?

Watch NE dive into the Amendola pool.

Going into last season, there was speculation that the Pats were positioning themselves to do just that.

He is above average but Brady made him look like a superstar. I wouldn't leave the Pats if I were Welker but can't blame the guy for going after big money.

NFL network saying Peyton needs a slot guy and Welker or Amendola would be ideal
