Can you beleive this guy? Then you have Arrington compareing him to Reggie Bush,Gimme a break.Let's just say that there was alot bright work being polished.I mean I will give Harrison his do because he is quite tallented, but he has always had a complement receiver with him.Not to mention a pro-bowl type tight end.
But when was the last time you have seen him(Harrison) beat double coverage.Last time I checked he never did anything against New England, when they got physical with him.I also never have seen him block a linebacker or blow up a safety.
Yes,Harrison can catch and runs perfect routes, but chip blocking works but isn't physical.Safety and corners can knock Harrison on his backside.
Let's face it guys the only time I love Harrison is when he he beats the Iggle secondary. It's not like he's a physical presence like that of TO.

As for Westbrook, yes he's fast and can catch. But he is the last person I want in my backfeild on a fourth and two.Besides, whens the last time this smurf(Westbrook) finished a full season????

Man I hate the Iggles,My second favorite NFL team is who the Eagles are playing that given sunday

Marvin put up some of his best numbers before Wayne got there when it was just him and Pollard as getting all the catches.

Also the Westbrook comparison isnt a bad one. Obviously hes faster and more explosive than Westbrook but both are excellent in the passing game and neither is a 25 carry between the tackle runner.

The way the NFL is right now, I'd take Harrison and Holt over just about anyone else. They produce and are pretty good character guys. Give me substance over flash every time.

Saying Harrison is not a "physical" presence is kind of silly. If you have to account for where a guy is, he's a physical presence. I know what you're saying about he's not a bull to bring down. He doesn't have to be. He makes big plays. That matters and that's presence.

Ditto. Wouldn't mind Chad Johnson either.

I kind of Know what you mean, retro-spectively of course.

Just out of curiosity, when you play us on that "given" Sunday ...does that mean the Cowboys are also your second favorite NFL team?

Harrison is a great recever but I don't see how you can class him hands down the best reciever in the league, just like you can't do it for anybody else. If you had Manning throwing to you for your whole career then you are going to put up good numbers. A fault with Harrison is he goes down without trying to expand on the catch, good for not getting inured and staying fresh but you still like to see a player try and break away.

I'd take Torry Holt over any other receiver: smart, smooth, productive, and issues-free.

Marvin is also one of the harder working WR's out there. You don't get to be one of if not the best route runner by sitting on your butt.

Ditto on Marvin and Holt. Smoothest route runners and softest hands in the biz. And Harrison was putting up huge numbers with Jerome Pathon/Terrence Wilkins on the other side.

And Bryant Westbrook/Reggie Bush? I believe that was the comparison, and if so, a very good one, IMHO. Neither will ever make their money toting the mail 25+ times a game. Both are adept receivers and extremely accomplished in the return game.

Reggie might someday prove to be the most dangerous open-field runner in the league, but BW is no slouch himself. They're remarkably similar, to me. I made the very same comparison last season.

I think Bush has a better chance of being a 20-25 carry back than Westbrook did coming out. He's got a good amount of power for his size, just rarely has to use it. Not sure if he will become that back, but even if he doesn't I think he'll be much better than Westbrook.
