Did ya' read that dribbling "man crush" anthem to little Donny over on Yahoo??

Some diatribe about how all of America is rooting for little Donny, ala Elway, Manning, Jerome Bettis, etc............Something about him being a sympathetic figure across all America (except in Philthy), and how this country would just salivate over McNabb finally getting what he "deserves"......and what a "feel good" story it would be to have this wonderful trooper and sweatheart of a guy rightfully get a ring that has so wrongfully been denied him.

What a bunch of crap!

I don't know who he's talking about, because I haven't heard a sliver of this sentiment from ANY NFL fans that I know during these playoffs, and THAT'S A LOT OF PEOPLE! And not just Cowboy fans either................

I, for one, hope that McNubb never sees another SB. And, if unfortunately he does happen into another Championship game, that'll just add to sweetness of him landing in the crapper again. The Steelers getting to six before us is not as big to me as the Eggless NEVER WINNING ONE!! MUCH BIGGER!!

I detest "anything Eagle", from the owner to the GM, coaches, players and fans. I wish nothing but complete and utter failure for the lot of them, McNabb in particular.

Little Donny and his "Campbell Soup Mommy" have brought nothing to Philly but drama, soap opera, and a "me-me" pity party.

In fact, without Little Donny McNubb, the Eggless, heaven forbid might have won a SB in the early 2000's.

He's NOT a Hall of Famer. If he DOES get in, it's a "politically correct", Title 1X, Affirmative Action entry. Call me "Rush Limbaugh" all day long, but I don't care. The best man in my wedding was African American, and my wife is Filipino/Japanese...............so I don't want to here it. Hell, I'm half Arab, so I REALLY DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!!!!!!!

McNabb is, was, and will always be OVERRATED as long as his sorry game remains a "tick" sucking off of this league. He isn't, never was, and NEVER WILL BE the answer to anyone's QB needs.

He's all about "little Donny" and nothing else. Hell, he couldn't even mentally "get ahead" of a 9th grader like Owens. He got played like a fiddle by a guy who everyone says is "psycho". What does that tell you about McNubb?????? Him and Reid couldn't even "out-think" Terrell Owens!!! Owens made them both look like dribbling idiots!!!

If you can't "out think" a mental freshman like Owens, the problem AIN'T OWENS!! IT'S YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's been a solid Quarterback for quite a while and I like seeing veterans like him, Brian Dawkins and Brian Westbrook eventually win.

Why is it sad?

I am a fan of the NFL.

I know the Eagles are rivals but once the Cowboys are out of the Playoffs, I have no dog in the fight and I don't care who wins the Super Bowl.

I just hope it is an entertaining Post Season.

That's just me though.

sadly i agree with lewpac's post. mostly. i am a minority, have friends of all ethnicities and i agree with what Rush said. IMHO, it wasn't rascist...it was racial. i personally DO think DM is overhyped based on his skin color. his stats and inconsistent play on the field tell me he is good at best. certainly not elite. For all of his great plays escaping a sack, he will also throw a laser at the feet of a WR. People act as if he has carried that team on his back when it is the defense that has supported the franchise.

Being a Christian Brother, I don't wish any ill will to McNabb as a person. I love all of Gods folks.

That being said, even the most casual observer HAS to admit that McNabb has been treated with "kid gloves" during his usual "mediocre to decent" play, and been given a HUGE PASS for all his screw ups. Of which, have been MANY!!!!!!!!!!!
He's had the coach. He's had the talent. He's had the "city" on his side (however minimal). He's had EVERY opportunity to elevate himself to "elite" status.............real and earned and "stats" elite status. And he hasn't. He provides JUST ENOUGH bling and good to keep the Kool-Aid drinkers on board. But, just when you need him the most, he's all about "Donny" and fails.
That's the record.
But, because the pundits and press and talking heads are RACISTS, more racists than Limbaugh could ever be, they'll do ANYTHING to prop up the best black QB out there.
McNabb is the best African American QB in the league. Maybe EVER. I, personally don't give a rats-butt WHAT his skin color is. Hell, I live in Hawaii and propped up Timmy Chang all I could! The best shot at having an Eastern Heritage QB in the NFL. I'm all for it.
But, McNabb HAD gotten probably 35-50% more props than he deserves only because of his skin color.

I wish McNubb and his family all the Christian health and prosperity in the world. I hope he lives a long and fruitfull life. But we're talking NFL playoffs here. And in this conversations, I hope he crashes and burns and fails miserably. Because I couldn't imagine a world where the cursed Eagles EVER win a ring. And McNubb is the head of that rabble.................
