The Dallas Cowboys waited 44 minutes on the runway at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport before departing just after 2 p.m.
The players, coaches and staff boarded their charter to Point Mugu Naval Air Station, just south of where they will train in Oxnard, Calif., just after 1 p.m. and sat on the runway from 1:18 p.m. to 2:02 p.m.
A problem with some ground equipment prevented them from leaving on time.
A team spokesperson told WFAA's George Riba at the airport that the plane is safe to fly.
The team was due to land in California at 4:15 p.m. Dallas time and should now likely arrive about 5 p.m.

From George Riba at DFW Airport:
Cowboys rookie running back Felix Jones and veteran wide receiver Terry Glenn were not on the plane scheduled to depart DFW shortly after 1 p.m.
Of course both have contract issues. Jones, the team's top draft pick out of Arkansas, has not yet signed with the team.
And Glenn is in a dispute over an injury settlement with owner Jerry Jones.
Also of note receiver Sam Hurd and safety Pat Watkins arrived at the airport just minutes before the plane was scheduled to depart.
