Little league party on Cowboys flight home

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones mixed things up last night, on the charter flight back from Green Bay. Normally, they put a movie on during the flight -- on the way up it was the latest Indiana Jones movie (don't waste your time, by the way. It was bad.) Anyway, on the return flight, they played the Cowboys-Packers game, with all the commercials edited out and the radio call edited in.

I think Mark Friedman from the Ticket described the atmosphere best, when he said it was like a little league party where one of the moms had taped the game, and the kids are all cheering and reacting to watching themselves on TV. We heard big reactions from the back of the plane when Miles Austin got caught from behind on his first long catch and run, and when Jay Ratliff got a sack. But the biggest reaction came when NBC showed pictures of Tony Romo from high school -- the guys loved that.

Of course, after Indiana Jones, anything would have looked good.

There is nothing like watching a Cowboys game without commercials with the legendary Brad Sham calling it.

I grew up with the Cowboys games muted on the TV while listening to Brad Sham call the game on the radio.

What a scene, i wish I could've been on that flight. Love Brad, miss Dale although his radio and TV work annoys me.

When I was growing up listening to the radio broadcasts I thought Dale was great and paired perfectly with Brad. I never understood how he went from what he was like then to what he is now.

Better watch out. They seemed too happy with the win and will surely choke down the stretch because of it.

I'm surprised this isn't more common practice.

Might do some good to watch a loss right after it occurrs to see what went wrong before everyone gets a short memory of it in prep for the next game.

This is why I love Sirius satellite radio. I still mute the TV and listen to Brad Sham.

I would have paid a gazillion dollars to be on that flight watching the game with the Cowboys.

I gotta get Sirius rolling indoors, so I can do this too.

I would have liked being on that flight back to Dallas as well. It's been sweet not hearing the media yokels say the Cowboys are 0-5 in Green Bay. We can all imagine how bad it would have been if we had lost; glad the Cowboys took care of business up there.

Wow! I have Sirius too and never thought to do this. Godo idea! The only thing is it won't be in fll stereo surround since it's coming from the computer speakers in an adjoining room 15 feet away from the big screen but if the Sirius broadcast is worth it that's a done deal.

I personally believe little things like this bring them closer together. They can joke around and make fun of each other in a relaxed setting. I think they've been together long enough now to not have to worry about lack of focus. They've grown together through multiple season ending choke jobs. They're playing with an unwavering focus this year and the great thing about it is people like Martellus Bennett, Michael Jenkins, Felix & Adam Jones, Orlando Scandrick, and Zach Thomas are contributing in a big way. Zach Thomas alone brings veteran leadership, direction, and credibility to a defense that was previously struggling to find itself. There's lots to be excited about this year.

I am on the side that really liked the new Indiana Jones movie. It fits so nicely in to what Indiana Jones is suppossed to be. Although I am not a huge Shay fan and he was really bad in this movie.

And to keep the topic on Dallas, I think it was more entertainment than actual film study. Very fun thing to do.
