Classic on being dead wrong and trying to run away from the facts!

Nors said:2-22 thats about the date Bledsoe was released. I'm sure at that point you were in full retreat knowing your Henson rants were about to be squashed. Same Bledsoe you said would back up Henson - LOL
Kinda like after no Howard trade, Draft of 3-4 PLAYERS EMBRACING THE 3-4 AS INEVITABLE - LOL!
junk said:Bledsoe was released in 2005 actually.
Kinda like Ty Law, Allen to NT, Trevor Pryce, Merriman over Ware, Jason Gildon and a plethora of other misses.
Goes both ways.
Nors said:Law for Rogers - yeagh that would have been a bad trade.....
Allen to NT - That was jest - see Sumo POSTS - lol
Merriman and Ware both Hybrids and highly thought of by me. Merriman has 5 sacks past 5 games.
Pryce is a beast
Gildon - sure as heck at 35 better than the Wiley signing....
Again?
:laugh2:
junk said:See, this is classic Nors. You were completely wrong and off base on all of those things. Way wrong. But anyone brings them up and you spin them as being right. And if its so off base to the point of being just stupid, you claim it was a "joke". Right. Its OK to be wrong. Everyone is at some point. And you are just as much as anyone else.
However, if anyone else has an opinion that is different than yours, you try to belittle them and mock any opinion they might have had.
Ty Law for a second? How is the weather in fake trade fantasy land? Al Singleton being cut. Ogbogu having any value what so ever. Jason Gildon? Where is he playing these days? Had the same number of sacks as Wiley last year. At least Wiley could get signed.
Nors great find..........Nors said:I wouldn't be surprised or angry if he was back in 2005. Not at all. I would be angry if he (VT) was the starter. Probably not at him though, and probably not at the coaching staff either.
I am a Henson fan and I think he will be ready by the end of this year. I've heard some rumblings to that effect from a friend. Articles say he's just a sponge for learning this stuff. There's no doubting his physical tools.
If he hasn't earned the job by 2005 then I am going to be angry, most likely at him. You simply do not piss away talent and opportunity.
From all we read about him, he's not doing that.
I have a strange feeling that Vinny will hang them up after this year and another former Parcells guy (Bledsoe) will be the backup to Henson in 2005.
I really don't see Romo as anything other than a 3rd string guy. Maybe he will surprise me but I have my doubts same as I did with Stoerner.

Wow
Wow.........This is a great thread "What a difference a year makes"
- Henson wasn't ready in 2005.......infact he regressed to the point that an undrafted Free agent QB surpassed him in the depth chart, infact the competition at the back-up spot was eerily similar to Quincy/Chad competition in 2003. Even some very respected posters on this board drew the analogy early in training camp.
- Strange feeling proven wrong.......Vinny didn't hang them up. He wasn't resigned and based on his ability to come in and run the Jets offense after only 2 weeks of practice it appears he was still (like Parcells mentioned several times) in good enough shape to play.
- What were you reading.........From what we know at this point....a year later.......Henson is buried on the depth chart........has been inactive for atleast 1 game this season, is going back to his old throwing motion and some mediots like Norm Hitgzes, Randy Galloway and Dale Hansen have insinuated that Parcells doesn't like Henson.
- Romo..........is infact anything other than the a 3rd stringer on our favorite team. The guy with sponge like abilities and the better physical tools is no better than 3rd stringer in the year YOU thought he'd be starting. Infacthe isn't good enough to even back-up on our team.
Its all good Hos. My respect for you never wanes..........Hostile said:Glad you enjoy it Charles.
It has been fun. I said all of those things long before Drew Bledsoe was signed. If that somehow makes me stupid about football then enjoy the giggle.
Not making any excuses. Vinny should have retired. Not my fault Jets were desperate. Henson failed to get the job done as I hoped. Injured shoulder? Lacking something? Too many variables.
I stand by my belief he'll end up being a better QB. Too soon for you to be pointing fingers at me on that one. But then you do need something to laugh at. So enjoy.
Nors said:Wrong
Ty Law trade did not happen
Thought Eddie George had more in the tank
I sure as heck was not wrong on ANYTHING Bledsoe, Henson/Romo related.

By TODD ARCHER / The Dallas Morning News
THEY WROTE IT ...
Excerpts from previous columns about the Cowboys' quarterback situation:
Todd Archer: (Bill) Parcells can be what Bledsoe needs to return to his Pro Bowl form. He can protect him in certain situations. And the Cowboys have pieces in place that have helped Bledsoe succeed before. ... This Bledsoe is not the Bledsoe Parcells coddled in New England, but if the Cowboys want to get on the carousel, he's the best choice.
Kevin B. Blackistone: (Drew) Bledsoe isn't as ancient a football player as is the 41-year-old Testaverde. ... But Bledsoe doesn't appear to still be in his prime, let alone just hitting his stride. Not to alarm anyone, but if the decline on the Titan rollercoaster at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington was as precipitous as Bledsoe's fall the last few years, the Titan would be outlawed.
Jean-Jacques Taylor: (Drew Bledsoe) is just another average quarterback who is about to become a journeyman – if he continues to play. He has no upside. You know exactly what you're getting. He will not help the Cowboys win a Super Bowl. So why waste time?
junk said:No, you have had the QB position nailed. Why you hate Henson is beyond me though. I'd like to see BOTH of those young guys develop.
You also pegged Shanle early and it appears that you were right on your assessment of him as well. He has been quite a pleasant surprise. That was something I was way off base on. I thought he was nothing more than depth/ST.
But you have also been completely off base on some stuff. We all are. Attempting to make fun of anyone that doesn't agree with you or guesses wrong is pretty lame though IMO. I think its the primary reason you get some grief around here.
