What about Lorenzo Neal?

I just saw on NFL Network that's also an unrestricted free agent. Why not this guy? I think he would be a significant upgrade over Deon Anderson and players all around the league respect the guy. I'de be happy with the Boys with this in FA:

FB Lorenzo Neal- veteran leadership and a powerful blocker
QB Kyle Boller- anything is an upgrade over B. Johnson and he's still relatively young; he could come in for a few games if needed
DE Igor Olshansky- knows Wade's system and fills a need before the draft

Neal is really really old.

The way FB is used on our roster, he needs to play ST

It pains me to even think about the game, but did you see Neal blocking for McGahee and McClain "the runs?" I sure did and he can still be effective. Maybe instead of carrying a bum like PROCTOR, carry a guy who can actually bring a positive to the team.

Now that is something I agree with. Procter for Neal, or Procter for a $5 bag of chips.

Rather have Richardson of the Jets. He helped their run game so much last season. He was really good I thought and would be a solid addition if the Jets don't re-sign him.

Heath Evans wouldn't be a bad choice. He plays special teams and can carry the ball in a pinch, say if Barber were to get injured and we needed someone to get a short first down.

Good call, man. I really like this idea. Anyone with that NE attitude, you have to think about.
