How would you guys feel about this? I'm surprised his name has yet to be mentioned by anyone. Lets at least bring him in for an interview. Jerry could get a feel for his potential as an HC and cover the Rooney rule in one fell swoop. I for one wouldn't mind Norv as HC, Singletary as DC and Chow as OC. I do however feel that Cowher is still head and shoulders the best fit for our team and would work well with Jerry while enticing quality talent to come on board. And don't forget, Russ Grimm is available. Anyway, just some random thoughts.

For those who think Wade Phillips is too old ... Norm Chow's a year older, and doesn't have nearly as much NFL experience.

Norm Chow? He's pretty well thought of in the islands. He's a great offensive mind and developed guys like Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Phillip Rivers, Palmer and Leinart. He doesn't have any previous head coaching experience save a three year stint as the head coach of Waialua High School in the early seventies, though.

Screw Chow.

If we go that route it is his former boss we'd be after. That's right. Pete Carroll. I said it.

I love Chow and think he'd be great for our offense, but it seems like he just doesnt want to be/ isn't head coach material.

I'd love Chow, but it'd be a short term solution. Alot of people are looking for a young guy, a long term prospect

Chow is 60 and that drops him down the list.

Still, wouldn't be against it at all.

The one thing Chow has going for him is he can sure develop QB's, and he hasnt proved to be a loser in the NFL like Philips.
