I think the Lions would let him
Go for a 2nd, as he’s gonna want a big contract. Sign Jones and Slay and the DBs look pretty good with Lewis, Woods and awuzie. Just an idea, that way they still have their 1st pick and solidify the secondary.

Wouldn’t want to do it. I’d rather sign Trae Waynes on a free

Problem with dealing picks for vets is you have to pay them now...or close to now.

So it's not just a 2nd for Slay, it's a second plus not being able to retain or sign someone else.

Picks (which are maybes, ALL of them) for established vets always make sense on their own, but it realistically costs you something else down the line.

How about drafting and developing some young players that can stick around a while.

Big money for Jones. Big money for Slay. We lose a 2nd. Big money for Dak. Big money for Cooper. I say no thanks.

This draft looks perfect for fixing the secondary to me

But hes due for a contract aswell...not gonna trade a top pick unless it's D Sanders

I’m hoping that at some point this fan base will start to understand that a “secondary” isn’t just made up of CBs

we need a great safety not another overpaid CB

that’s what DAL has done recently with draft but the socialist CAP and revenue sharing agreement sucks and needs to go. Rewarding losing organizations through the wealth of Jerry needs to be corrected. Remove the cap and at minimum eliminate the cap if revenue is shared

I don't see the need to trade a 2nd for him.

You have a CB right now that's going to make $15MM. Why would you let that CB walk for nothing and then trade for a guy that you will have to give a Jones-esque contract to next year?

It doesn't make much sense to me.

I don't see how Slay should be an option for DAL...that could change but it doesn't make sense at the moment.
