I would rather have Gibril Wilson.
Al Davis proves yet again why he is the worst owner in the NFL for cutting this guy.
Gibril is hands down the best safety on the market now, and can be had for under 6 a year.
Just get it done Jerry!

Jones is eons more of a playmaker, and has more speed and range

Just looking at the market for a guy like Sean Jones I looked up some young S that signed last year.

Madieu Williams who was 26 years old on the bengals signed a 6 year/33 million dollar contract

And Deon Grant signed a 5 yr/31.8 mil contract last year also with the Seahawks.

Looks like Seans market would be roughly 5 year 30 million. Is it worth it? I'd rather draft one.

you must have missed the gibril wislon released thread and cant be from ny if youre valuing wilson as high as you are. you couldnt have seen to many giants games when he was there.

i wouldnt want him at all. not bad but not great. just average

i watch every giants game as i live in ny and more often then not this guy was torched in pass coverage.

yes he racks up a lot of tackles but he often got blown up in coverage. i will say hes great againgst the run though.

but since he got hurt his rookie season hes shyed more often away from contact and wasnt as much of a hard hitter as he was coming out.

and in his last few yrs in ny he always seemed to miss and whiff on key tackles in games

ill pass but jones is definitely a safety worth looking at. wouldnt mind picking him up

Agreed. If we end up releasing RW, you think we could sign Ware,Lewis and Jones? That would be pretty tough IMO..but would still love to have Jones at that SS position. I like that he already has 3-4 experience with the Browns.
