What about the O-Line Responsibility

I am reading posts about how Rivera is happy that Romo may be playing, I am hearing how Bledsoe sucks because he gets sacked, etc... It is very frustrating to me because there has to be some responsibilkity placed on this sub par offensive line. If this line blocked like a real NFL line does then Bledsoe or whoever was back there would not be running for thier life.

I do not care who is behine center if your line sucks teams will exploit that and any QB is going to struggle, ESPECIALLY a green QB. Look at Leinhart, he is 10X better then romo and he can not do squat.

Bledsoe when given the time is head and shoulders better then Romo who is a interception machine. I can see it now, in two more games people will be blaming the losses on yet another QB or Defensive Coordinator, or coach or, etc... THIS LINE NEEDS TO BE FIXED or we will continue to lose.

I do not understand why this is a foreign concept, it was disected time and time again during pre-season, before training camp, LAST YEAR, and now we are all wondering why this team is 500.

First, it's still WAY too early to say Leinart is better than Romo at all, much less "10X better."

Second, while I personally expect Leinart will be the better NFL QB, he still isn't as mobile as Romo, which is what we are counting on to help offset the opponent's pass rush.

Well, I think it's one of those chicken/egg things. Is the OLne playing poorly or does Bledsoe make their jobs harder?

Early in the season they seemed to be doing just fine...'cept when teams blitz. It seems now (at least against Philly and now NYG) that teams are bringing extra guys not just on obvious passing downs, but on just about any down.

Granted guys need to pickup their blocks, but can an OLine stand back and defend the blitz every 2 or 3 plays? I'd have to think it gets tiring after a while...physically and mentally.

Now, does Bledsoe hurt or help the OLine? Teams know he's not very mobile. WE know he's not very mobile. If our defense was facing a QB that we knew wasn't mobile, wouldn't more blitzes be a good bet?

Against Philly and against the Giants, I noticed that there was a lot of man-on-man coverage on Glenn/Owens. These are 2 Pro-Bowl caliber WRs, why take that risk? Maybe the risk is worth it. They knew they can load the box, go after the QB and hope to get there before he can make a play to those WRs. It makes sense and IMO, its' what we'd do.

So is Drew to blame, the OLine, or the combination of the two?

If the problems were just the sacks and failure to complete passes, I would agree with you. Bledsoe has to take some responsibility for the multiple interceptions in key games. Most of the critical interceptions occurred when he had plenty of time to throw.

You are correct my friend, however my 4 year old call tell when the Dallas Cowboys are going to run and when they will pass. It may help if the play calling wasn't so obvious then we could mix it up a little. I bet if you charted runs and pass plays the numbers would be outlandish!!
