I've been thinking a lot about this Newman situation. I think it's very important that he get as much rest as he can. But this seems like the type of injury that will linger anyway.
I hate the idea of having a Reeves, Henry, Jones trio at CB. I can almost live with Reeves because I don't see him giving up too much.
So, why don't we start Reeves and Henry, then bring Newman in to man the nickel until he feels a little better?
I'm not crazy about the idea, but Newman may find a little relief if he plays nickel. Hopefully, he'll recover just a bit quicker this way, than if we put him in full time.
This injury is all about management rather than cure.
