What About Top 10 WR?

I noticed you tried to clean up his comment a little, read what he said word for word. He was disrespectful no matter how you look at it, you can correct someone without being a dick

stilltheguru didnt have a problem with it. so why should you? too sensitive, man. what did hostile say about a kleenex in this thread? seriously- its a message board. good god. good thing stilltheguru isnt as sensitive as you.

Keep reading because the definition I showed is there too. There is no set number on the word some

where? this is what it said- used with either mass nouns or plural count nouns

you know what that means, right? some milk? mass noun. some roses? plural count noun.

i wasn't the only one. you were being a hypocrite.

another accusation, yet no proof. i said that i thought taylor waved a gun, of which he is accused. you could say i was a hypocrite if i thought his accusers were guilty and he was innocent, but i didnt say that. so you were wrong. and i hope i wasnt being too harsh in pointing that out. i dont want to hurt your feelings with you being sensitive and all.

jeezus, man- we've got the reigns on us in here! we can't be ***** of we try! but you can! this thing is in your favor....and yet your still complaining that a skins fan was a dick.

nice.

Umm yes I have, just because you dont like the answer doesnt mean anything. You said I insulted YOU, yet you still have not shown where this occured

you have changed the english language to try and make a point.

Face facts 95% of the Skins fans on this board are trolls those are facts, and like I said I was gonna make a list until I got into the argument with you for accusing me of things that didnt happen.

95%? another accusation....but again, no proof. you havent even pointed one out in that thread, IMO. and if he was a troll, he was one of about a half dozen skins posters. just throw out numbers, call people trolls for whatever reason you like, and make up definitions to words. whatever works for you.

and what it is appears to be you having a guilty conscience that auomatically thought I was talking about you when I mentioned troll

nope.

but i am tired of being labeled a troll when i correct a poster on this board. people dont like to be corrected sometimes.

oh well.

Stilltheguru may have seen me already talking about it maybe? I know you have to defend your Commanders fan buddy but the fact is he is on a rival board and should try to remain civil, instead of talking **** when he didn't even put up his own list.

Jeez obviously you should look it up http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=HPIA,HPIA:2005-43,HPIA:en&defl=en&q=define:some&sa=X&oi=glossary_definition&ct=title
Ther eya go it mentions unspecified in amount. 1 out of 3 is some in my book

You were in that thread defending Taylor from the mean Cowboys fans and you defend him as being innocent until he is proven guilty, yet in the same thread you were saying the other guys were guity of stealing his ATV's even though there is no proof. That is hypocritical

Also I know you said you tought he was guilty, you then said that he reacted like that because the other guys stole his ATV's and you wanted to know why charges against them were dropped (even though no charges on Taylors ATVs were ever filed)

You see the Commanders player gets the benifit of the doubt and if he did do it, then it was because the other guys provoked it.

jeezus, man- we've got the reigns on us in here! we can't be ***** of we try! but you can! this thing is in your favor....and yet your still complaining that a skins fan was a dick.

Fortunately I haven't been a dick, I think I have been pretty civil to you. The other guy was being a dick, and should have been more civil. On extreme that gets you banned if your a Cowboys fan. Luckily for you our mods here arent *****

you have changed the english language to try and make a point.

umm no

Most of the Skins fans here are here to troll, same as Cowboys fans on Commanders boards, Eagles fans on Giants boards etc.

nope.

but i am tired of being labeled a troll when i correct a poster on this board. people dont like to be corrected sometimes.

oh well.

Luckily for you, you were never labeled a troll in this thread. You just got a little to sensitive to something that was not posted to you I guess

If these stats didn't belong to a Commander, he would be in the top 3 of all of your lists.

Do you think TO matches these stats this year? If you answer this question - yes, remember that you are putting your faith in the devil.
I don't care what anyone else around here says, I love Santana Moss and I was pulling for us to get him last year. It hurts seeing him in a Skins uniform. I'm not sure if he's top-3 - he's still got a ways to go to pass T.O. (who I hate by the way, but he's one of us now), Randy Moss, Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison, and Steve Smith - but I'd love to have him in the silver and blue.

'some' as a quantifier can't be used with a singular countable noun. It's as simple as that. Would it make sense to say 'I have some book'? Of course not. You'd have to say 'I have some books." 'Some' can be used with uncountable nouns such as water, food, furniture, etc.

Now if I had chicken and said "do you want some" am I automatically offering you more than one piece? or am I offering you an undertermined amount of chicken? I love my chicken and while I may offer you "some" that some ends with 1 piece

Chicken (the food, not the animal) is an uncountable noun. So any amount of that chicken can be referred to as 'some'. We use the word 'piece' when we want to quantify the chicken, so to speak. It's the same when we talk about water. You can't count water, but you can count glasses of water.

examples:

I ate too much chicken

or

I ate too many pieces of chicken

Both of these sentences could very well be referring to the exact same amount, but we have to use specific words (in this case 'much' and 'many',) depending on whether the noun is countable or uncountable.

So if any amount of chicken can be refered to as some, then any number of people (fans) can be refered to as some, as in if there are 3-4 people I can say some and mean 1

A number of people consider it improper to use uncountable nouns for terms that are inherently countable. I say, who the frick cares?

Chicken (food) = uncountable noun- 'Some' can always be used with uncountable nouns.

Person/People, Fan/Fans = countable nouns- 'Some' can only be used when the plural form is used.

Anyways, this is all technical talk. English is a funny language. 'Everybody' is a singular form. Try explaining that to a group of ESL students!

1. S. Smith
2. M. Harrison
3. T.O
4. T. Holt
5. R. Moss
6. C. Johnson
7. S. Moss
8. h. Ward
9. A. Boldin
10. L. Fitz

And SilverStarCowboy like i said in another thread.... Cocaine is a helluva drug. So let me get this straight.... you would put Joe Horn ahead of Santana Moss?!?!?! Or better yet.... Terry Glenn?!?!?!?! Lay off the drugs my man.

look at their career averages before last year, I'd definitely put Horn over Moss

Joe Horn is arguable, but there's no way I'd take Glenn over Santana Moss.
