That is our dream scenario and net us a comp pick.Hill will get 6 sacks and then sign a nice contract with someone else,

At this point, Trysten is the very least of our worries. Those screaming to just cut him really don't appear to much comprehension of NFL football. Keep him until someone beats him out.
Hill's going to start.
With DK Metcalf on the board.I agree with you that Hill looked okay. I guess it’s just sad that a second round pick from 3 years ago is at best “okay”. He has made a few plays here and there. But his ceiling at this point appears to be as a rotational spot player without much impact or upside. Just disappointed in that from a second rounder.
But the guy he's outplaying (Ridgeway) will?Hill will make the 53, I have my doubts that either Bohanna or Chauncy will.
As bad as we looked last night Hill has a good chance to make this team. He looked okay which is better than I can say for most of the other players we put out there.
But the guy he's outplaying (Ridgeway) will?
He's been with the starters almost every practice session I've seen. Ridgeway isn't even second string yet from what I've seen... he's usually behind Watkins.I haven't heard anything positive about Bohanna and nothing but praise for Ridgeway. What makes you think he's out playing him?
The problem is that in the minds of people who hated Rod and by extension Trystan Hill everybody has already beat him out. They are invested in being "right" about it being a bad pick so no evidence that contradicts that view will be accepted. I don't know if the kid will make the team or not.. but I'm glad it's not up to these idiot fans.. It will be decided on the field.. as it should be.
But is he worth a second contract? That is why he is motivated all of a sudden, Hate to have another Tyrone Crawford on our hands. I'd say it all depends not on Hill, but on how his competition develops and he is on the bubble. Cheaper and better, he's gone.
