I'm new so I apologize if I'm not doing this correctly...

I've been thinking of off the wall ideas to help make us better team, nd with the switch to montes defense... I thought bout tyson, if released, could he play 3-tech? Or strongside ala red bryant nd than switch inside on passing downs?

Thanks for letting me be apart of cowboyzone :)

Welcome.

Good question about Tyson Jackson. Do you have any specific knowledge about him?

From Rotoworld:
Chiefs LE Tyson Jackson is a candidate to be released this offseason.
Since being drafted with the third overall pick in 2009, Jackson has been largely a disappointment in his first three seasons, and is due a prohibitive $14.72 million in the final year of his rookie deal. With former GM Scott Pioli no longer making roster decisions, Jackson will be forced to accept a pay cut if he has any chance of returning with the Chiefs. Packers director of football operations John Dorsey is the "clear-cut favorite" to be named Kansas City's next general manager. Jan 5 - 8:09 PM

Be prepared to get criticism regardless of what you post. Some people would complain if you offered to give them money.

welcome Ace. its good to have ya. i dont know enough about jackson to comment but i wil do some research on him later when i have more time

Umm, honestly, I know he's round same size as guys been talked bout on here, melton, richardson, floyd... Outta college I liked him for us in the second but was surprised he went so high, he was nasty at lsu (btw I hate lsu) I love def players with a nasty streak. Personally I think he couldn't live up to where he was drafted nd think he could benefit from a change of scenery nd it doesn't hurt having marinelli as our dline coach. I guess I have no real knowledge but maybe just a hunch?

Thanks ware :), glad to be here... Nd I can handle criticism.. Thanks for looking out walker :)

I wouldn't hate it.

Interesting to see how this DLine shakes up.

Spears, Coleman, Liss, Hatcher, Rat...there could be a lot of new faces seeing playing time this year.

He was overrated in college. The guy is maybe a solid backup.

I would be more interested in Glenn Dorsey. Particularly if he finds a cold market and wants to take a cheap flier in a Tampa 2 scheme to rebuild his league stock.

Im interested to see what these guys mentioned could do in the 4-3. So hard to put up good numbers as 3-4 DL

It depends on if the money is large bills or small ones. Some places don't take the large bills and the small bills can get bulky. Is the money going to be direct deposit or will I have to deposit it myself? There is some valid reasons to complain. Getting money can bring on stress.

Some Kiffin inspired defenses for comparison:

No thanks to both. Jackson seems like a classic 34 5-technique just like he was drafted to be. Dorsey I always thought was overrated even in college. He may have been 300 lbs which looks impressive in the media guide, but he looked to me like a smaller guy who was just fat more than a naturally big and powerful guy. His legs especially looked small, and it's probably no surprise he did suffer some leg injuries.

No more lsu dline? Or in general? Just because of spears?

Spears
James
McCray

make your choice, LSU defensive players are hardly too impressive on the professional level (in recent memory), albeit Brady had several solid seasons for us.
