I know Zeke is all the rage right now, but how will our secondary hold up against Eli and the Odds next week. I'm a bit nervous.
Their top 3 planned CBs have been healthy and #4 just missed about 2 weeks, IIRC.

Their planned starting Safeties have been healthy and the top 2 young guys have played well.

Hopefully the defensive line can get consistent pressure to help the secondary out

Well, here's what I think (though, I thought this last year and we still lost both times; so take that for what's it's worth...which is admittedly not alot):

The Cowboys have been for some time wanting to move to more zone looks versus man. I think part of that is Marinelli, but another part of it is how well it could potentially work against the Giants in particular. Because of their horrendous offensive line, Eli absolutely has to get rid of the ball, as a general rule, within 3 seconds. That means alot of timing routes and Eli throwing under the assumption that the receiver will be there when he needs to be. What that also means is zone kills that type of offense...especially if Eli doesn't recognize zone in his presnap recognition. If the Cowboys can disguise it and peel off into zone well, we are going to see turnovers. And, as I'm sure you are aware, if we win the turnover battle we more than likely win.

I will also go ahead and go on record as saying that Zeke is playing. And since Lisa Friel seems to be heading up the lynch mob presently going after Zeke and she is reportedly a die hard Giants fan, Zeke is going to go on a rampage.

Good morning Coach...Ball control... we need long time consuming drives to keep the ball away from Eli & company.

We need Zeke big time.

I get nervous before every game but a little more on opening day.

Marinelli will have the D ready.

Go Cowboys!

I don't think that's the key at all. The Giants offense is terrible, from what I've seen. Even last year they struggled to score points against us because they are one-dimensional; they have no run game and their offensive line struggles to maintain a clean pocket. So, the fact that Eli has to get the ball out of his hands quick negates most pass rushes anyways. In other words, even if we had Pro Bowlers at every position across the line, we would still struggle to get to Eli in time.

What is at stake here is rather or not our offense can score on their defense.

Ball control is key, but I think for a different reason than you stated. The Giants offense simply doesn't scare me...but their defense is another story. If we can exhaust them in the early going of this game, the second half could be a thing of beauty with our offense chasing them around the ring just like Mayweather did to McGregor towards the end of the fight last weekend.
