Watching this one as I type and was heading in here to mention it. It may have not won over the critics but I enjoy it. Has a good nostalgic feeling to it.

Yes. Agreed. I know it didn’t do well critically. But I think Arnold and Sinbad and Phil Hartman are all hilarious in it.

And it reminds me of being a kid.

Just saw a new one, Christmas Story on Amazon Prime not to be confused with, “A” Christmas Story....

Used to be A Christmas Story was the one must watch each year. A few years ago Bad Santa replaced it.

I normally still will watch both but Bad Santa is the only must watch now.

Shall we debate what comprises a Christmas film first? I consider any film that takes place during Christmas but not necessarily about Christmas, a Christmas film. This includes Die Hard, Die Hard II, Lethal Weapon, Inside Moves, Gremlins and Harry Potter.

The standard ones I watch every year are Fred Claus, The Grinch, Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, It's A Wonderful Life (always held to the last one to watch), A Christmas Carol, Scrooged, Rudolph, Bad Santa and Santa Claus and about every other year I'll watch The Polar Express and the Santa Clause ones with Tim Allen. The one I never watch is A Christmas Story because the narrator's voice irritates me.

I also watch Lord of the Rings around this time because of the release dates and they remind me of Christmas but this year will be different as I will watch all 10 Star Wars films leading up to the culmination with The Rise of Skywalker. My older son was 5 when he first saw Star Wars and he and his younger brother have grown up, with me, experiencing the most unusual journey through film in my lifetime.
I was going to say lord of the rings too. My favorite trilogy

Every Christmas movie, show and cartoon imaginable is my favorite. Why you ask? Because my wife likes them and makes me watch them all and asks me every time which one is my favorite so I tell her they all are. lol

most of the ones I like have already been mentioned, but there's a new one (2018) on Netflix that I really dug called "The Christmas Chronicles", with Kurt Russell as Santa and he absolutely smashes it out of the park (as usual)
