What are the chances of David Carr becoming Parcells's next project?

i think we will do this in a year

draft marcus vick and have him ride the bench until bledsoe starts to be unproductive then put in the very accurate marcus vick and win 5 straight super bowls

OMG...this shows the effect alcohol can have on someone when posting

Agreed. Overrated by who?

If anything - he is underrated and underappreciated because he gets sacked so much. He plays in front of the worst OL, hands down, in the league.

I don't see too many praising David Carr, so I don't understand the "he's overrated" argument.

Is he salvageable? That's the real question.

He's taken a beating. He's on pace to be sacked over 100 times this year.

he has been extremely overrated if you listen to the mediots

he was never worthy of being the #1 overall pick in the first place...he's better than Joey Harrington (same draft) but that isnt saying much

the other thing is when you listen to him he comes off as a punk in interviews

David

David Carr as a Cowboy? I like it, it extends Bledsoe's career another 10 years :D

david carr cares more about his hair than anything else.

As much as I hate the Toxins, and Carr's punkish attitude in interviews, I would take him in a heart beat. The guy doens't have a chance. It's not his he is immobile, he just doens't have any time at all.

If given the opportunity, I would sign him and let him compete for the starting job. He is head and shoulder above anything we have behind Bledsoe.

David Carr in my opinion is far from overrated, and Houston would be flat out fools to part with him without ever feilding a legitiment line in front of him. He has the arm and the toughness, what he doesn't have is the supporting cast surrounding him. His O-line doesn't give him the time, and his recievers got alligator arms. But hey if they are silly enough to draft that kid from USC (which the only way I see them trading Carr) I will be in the front seat of the trade for Carr bus.

The future QB of the Dallas Cowboys is already here, being developed under Bill Parcells.

PS I have seen Carr in a ton of interviews. Never EVER seen him come across like a punk.

Under Parcells I think we are done rummaging through other team's garbage for a diamond. The Tuna has infrastructure in place that I hope it last long after he is gone. Having a proven system makes it a whole lot easier to develop your own talent instead of relying on other team’s cast offs. Now the only exception is if the other team garbage was previously a Parcells’s diamond. :p:

I've never heard any mediots praising him. In fact - whenever they DO talk about him, it usually has to do with him being sacked so much and having nothing to work with. Either that or how bad the OC is.

I have never heard him act like a punk in an interview either so I don't know where that is coming from

The bottom line is, Peyton Manning would look like junk behind that OL - end of story.

You simply can't do much when you're getting sacked almost 100 times per year.

Glad you added that, Ad.

I woke up with the sure conviction I was going to kill an engineer today.

I am happy it isn't you. ;)

LOL, it must of been like when my wife found out how much I paid for my new dual panel 19" LCD display. I am sure he told you the same thing I tell my wife, "it will pay for itself in 6 months". :)

Nah, it's more like a week of steady, even torrential rain is not an excuse to delay some more doing the zillion of things you should have done BEFORE the rain began.

But life is good....and tomorrow, seeing that irritating grin wiped off the ubiquitous mug of that annoying self-promoting Tiki Barber, and the moronic smirk of Shockey also wiped clean...life will be even better.

I really hope Jason has BIG day tomorrow.

It gets these prima donnas who are expected to shine over their competitors (see TO's face last week?) to be shown up by so-called 'lesser' lights.

Another endlessly media-hogging clown deserves to get shut down too... and it will be doubly sweet if a rookie RT hands him his over-rated arse.

Well, let me go do some work the engineers are too good to do....

Sounds like some one's Honey do list is being neglected. That is the only thing I like about living in a apartment, short to no honey do's, but that will be over shortly. :( A bit of advice for your hubby; he needs to master the art of doing without doing, remember perception is reality, lol.

I don't think the game well be as tough as the mediots are predicting. The young'ns are growing up and the milk behind their ears are evaporating as we speak. Constant pressure on D, controlling the tempo while playing smart will lead to an easy victory, imo. 24 - 14 Dallas.

Here is what i think about David Carr, i think everyone will agree that he is better than any backup we have considering his experiance and talent.....the only question i have is how much is he going to cost, i just dont see us breaking the bank on one player especially if he will more than likely ride the bench his first year. if we can get him for an affortable price, IM ALL FOR IT. but if hes wanting first round money, id say forget about it.

I remember two QBs that were drafted number one overall by Tampa Bay and looked pitiful for a pitiful team. Both went on to have pretty good careers. Names -- Vinnie Testaverde and Steve Young.

If Carr is on the market, for the right price I am buying. I think the Tuna can give him what he needs to be successful.

By the way, comparing Carr to Henson is unfair as Henson sat out of football for 4 years. Carr needs some developing, but he is much further along than Henson with equal talent.

Carr is overated.

And, No, he won't be Parcells' next "Project".

2004 QB rating

David Carr 83.6
Drew Bledsoe 76.6

Drew Bledsoe behind Texans offensive line = wheelchair
David Carr behind Cowboys offensive line = 3-2 record

If Vince Young, Marcus Vick and Brady Quinn declare for the draft after this season, 2006 would be a heck of a QB draft.

Leinart
Jacobs
McNeal
Young
Vick
Quinn
