I looked them up and can't find anything. When can we win the East, clinch a bye, etc now?

Thanks, but that didn't show anything. I meant if we beat Tampa are we NFC E champs, do we get a bye, etc?
I think the giants have to lose if we beat Tampa. We'll know well in advance if we have that chance because they play at 1:00.

We would improve to 12-2 and they would drop to 9-5 with two games left. If both win, then we would need a combination of one more Cowboy win or NY loss the rest of the season.

Amazing how much one game can change, we would have practically had HFA if we had won... now it isn't out of the question that we get the wild card.

If we go into the playoffs as a wildcard, it will be after a long losing streak. That would be depressing. Coaching staff needs to nip this in the bud, now.

That's the 2006 season all over again if that happened. We had zero momentum going into those playoffs. Really had no momentum going into the 2007 playoffs, either. Losing 2 of 3.

I think the magic number is two. Win two more games or one win paired with a Giants loss. Feel free to correct if this is incorrect.

I think you are correct. 2 wins and no matter what anyone else does, we have the #1 seed.

Giants play the Lions at noon next week. Hopefully Detroit can help us out. And we can go wrap up the East later that night.

Dallas' scenarios as simply as I can put them:

Win NFC East: One win plus one Giants loss, or any two wins the rest of the season.
First Round Bye: One win plus one Giants or Detroit loss.
Homefield Advantage: Two wins, no matter what any other team does. This makes Dallas 13-3 at worst; while the Lions and Giants can finish no better than 12-4 and Seattle no better than 11-4-1.

There you go. That's as of today thru the weekend.

3 freaking points changed a lot!!! 3 more inches from Bailey and it's a tie game. A catch from Church. A non hold by Twill. A game of inches!

Win 2 of the last 3 games, get the top seed in the NFC.

Although I'm not sure if some posters could survive another loss.

So basically take care of home where we have won 5 in a row.

Just win and don't worry about anything. As usual have to take care of our own business.

Pull for DET this week. If they win and we win, we get the division and a BYE with our majic number for HFA going down to one game with us just needing to beat DET the following week.

Hard to believe it was that close if you just followed this board. We played about as bad as we could, and it was still within inches. Bailey's kick is good in Dallas, btw.
