I'm not defending Jerry Jones. Anybody that has read my posts knows I am one of his harshest critics.

I only wanted to mention that signings and contracts or the lack thereof does not indicate a lack of financial support towards the team. on the contrary, the Jones's have always spent big on those elements that are not controlled by a cap such as coaching, training facilities, etc.

Any allowable money not spent this year can be carried over to the next. I think most have agreed that the Jones strategy seems to be geared towards having enough funds for very important contracts coming up next season and beyond.

Due to the almost instant success of 3rd year players Cee Dee Lamb and Trevon Diggs, they will probably demand contract negotiations before the '23 season begins. They will have to be added to the list of fourth year players like Donovan Wilson, Trysten Hill, Connor McGovern, and Tony Pollard. There is also Dalton Schultz to consider.

Any money spent towards adding an OT will affect the Cowboys ability to retain the services of a key player for the future. Stephen appears to be, let me say, somewhat less incompetent than his father. At least he has a plan.

Toss in the "next up" guy whether that is Tyler Smith, Josh Ball, Isaac Alarcon, or Matt Waletzko. It's going to be a disaster at first but get better or continue to get embarrassed.

There are players that look great in practice but can't put it together during a regular season game. Then there are "gamers", the opposite kind of player that needs the inspiration of the "real thing" in order to perform. Whatever and whoever, I don't expect any real action by the Jones's to add another OT if there appears to be a need until after the 2nd regular season game.

If that happens then it not only changes the future, it also indicts their ability to effectively scout and evaluate offensive line talent beyond the first round.

:muttley: Common man, we lost one star LT and were done before the season starts?
Insulting to our other 52 players jeez man get a grip!!!!
Not yet but if we don’t have anyone else who can protect Daks blindside it could be over if he goes down.

And we saw last year after Tyron went down as we have in the past how much it effects our QB’s effectiveness , running game and offense overall with blindside unprotected .

It’s not season over but it becomes more of a struggle without proper planning for worse case scenario. This is on our FO.

Let's see, stroking their own egos, drinking Johnny Walker, refusing to watch tape or study players, falling for every ridiculous draft riser/combine baby, having no clue how to build a contender, groping strippers......did I miss anything?
Knocking up Airline Reservationists might wrap it up.

Same gameplan as always: Put out a “competitive football team” to “put on a show” and “win some games”.

Basically, 9-8 horsecrap mentality.

Then get a QB who can handle adversity and succeed.
The NFL injuries are part of the package!

Our owner was having the most ridiculous and senseless show with Stephen A. That’s what he was doing. He’s not worried. It’s not going to effect revenue. As a matter of fact it might bolster revenue as more will tune in to watch it collapse.

Sure, that’s on the FO too.

And this is a player with such strong injury history to not have a better plan in place for a QB they over invested in knowing how critical it was is totally unresponsibie . And typical for our dysfunctional celebrity entertainer owners.

Look we know our FO are idiots this is nothing new.
What's changed is that Jerry doesn't seem to be interested in investing in Dak-Friendly any longer as he may have seen enough of its flaws and failures!
No WR...probably no major move for an LT....and the man said it for all to hear.....The offense runs thru ZEKE!!!!
Wonder how Dak feels about that statement????LOL

So, now after releasing 2 OL starters due to Cap, we have lost our All Pro LT with a rookie 1st draft pick starting at guard on that side as well.

What could go wrong. Geeze lol

Go trade for Tunsil from Houston. Give up a 2nd - you’re not gonna draft someone better than him. Who care how much he makes - cut Tyron and zeke next year that will cover it. Put the rookie at LG and let’s go. The defense is gonna be good DONT WASTE A YEAR!!!!

Try to WIN be AGGRESSIVE!!!! I blame that chubby son who only cares $$ and refuses to Spend $$ as if he doesn’t have enough for next 10 generations.
SOUNDS like a good plan, but jerry is too busy talking to media to worry about LT lol.
Thats not how jerrys mind works.
they will probably not get anybody, or just some guy after teams cut down to 53

Ok . Let’s follow your lead here.

You’re claiming that our owner is willing to intentionally sabotage his 160 million QB cause he sees now he wasn’t worth it and wants him to crash and burn.

And in the meantime he wants to save his RB without an OL.

I never used the word sabotage so don't put words in my mouth.
What I told you is that maybe Jerry has seen enough of Dak-Friendly and has raised his hands in disgust and looking to the future without Dak and Zeke and Smith etc etc.....

That sure sounds like sabotaging if he’s had enough and wanting to move on from Dak and Zeke.

In addition he wants to run down their value so he won’t get as much in a trade while wrecking the season.

I’m not sure you really thought this thru Coach Pappy.

Bottom line...Jones invested 150 million in a business....it is now worth 8 billion.
Who sees anything wrong with that?
Jones is one smart vatto.
You’re right. It’s the fans who are the idiots believing in his football ways.
