I'm curious, what are the odds of the cowboys moving up if sanders is available at pick 8, or drafting dart at 12. To me those are the only capable qbs of starting besides cam, but he won't be available. And to be honest this is a good year to draft a qb because he can sit for a yr or 2 and learn, also when was the last time dak played a whole season without getting hurt. So Saunders or dart would be a great backup qb and insurance for when dak gets hurt.

The odds are ZERO in the first round. We have far too many holes to fill and our first round pick has to be on the field. We have to come up with a real good player with that pick. However, I would be surprised if they don’t draft a QB at some point.

JMO, im not drafting a guy in the first round to have him be a backup for 3 years. We dont have that luxury. We need immediate impact players in the early rounds. Plus, I dont wanna waste a QBs rookie deal with him on the bench. Maybe its just me however.

As much as I want it, who would be the QB coach and mentor to teach and develop him along with a modern 2025 passing game?

The average OC headcoach who hasn't called plays in a couple of years?
Even IF and it's about as remote an IF as there ever will be, it does no good cuz the current staff has ZERO passing game coaches to trust in.

So the team is ****** if they do or don't draft a QB.

These are your Dallas JonesBoys.

Atlanta paid Cousins and THEN drafted Penix so it's not impossible.

But with Dallas it's as close to impossible as you can get considering who's calling the shots.
I should have first read the entire thread before making the reference about the Falcon's drafting a first-round quarterback. Good stuff.

Jerry has made it clear through his actions he doesn’t want anyone challenging Dak

Me personally…he’d be gone after the GB game because we’ve seen his ceiling…there’s no where else to go but down

I would take a QB round 1, but for the jones family? Theres no chance they select a qb

And it was the right choice…..Penix plays like a vet already

No one is going to be challenging a QB who just got paid $60M per. If things don’t go well the next season or two I would expect us to consider using a high pick on a QB if one warrants the pick.

This FO does not value the QB position.

When was the last time we picked a QB in the first round? And did we have a starter at that time?

That should answer your question.

There is always a chance of course. Like there is a chance that an apple will fall upwards into the sky and not downwards and on Newtons head.
