every one of our starters at the skill positions are injured enough that you wouldn't be shocked if they didn't play Monday night or left the game do to re-aggravating their injuries:

1 QB Tony Romo - broken Rib/punctured lung - waiting to see how he progresses wouldn't be surprised if they held him out of this game to give him more time to heal
2. WR Miles Austin - Out hamstring
3. WR Dez Bryant - Most likely out if he can't run full speed
4. RB Felix Jones - seperated shoulder will most likey play but may not be effective after a few hits...wouldn't be surprised to see Choice/Murray play most of the game.
5. TE Jason Witten - fractured Rib - Most likely of the 5 players listed to play the whole game.

Has there ever been a game where 4-5 of the starters at the skill positions have missed all/a majority of a game at the same time (excluding being pulled after securing playoff/homefield advantage at the end of the season)? I don't recall ever seeing anything like that happening. And of all games to have this happen it would be against the skins. :banghead:

On the bright side, beating the skins would be that much more enjoyable. :skins:

I know, it's bizarre. Throw in Dockery/Nagy being injured, too. That's 7--count'em--7 starters on offense either out or playing with serious injuries. But to have it affect all of your skill position starters at once is just crazy!

IF we can weather the storm with a 4-1 or 3-2 record and get most of our players back healthy, this team will have so much confidence that I think a deep run in the playoffs is a definite possibility. We have the talent (I know we have some holes but what team doesn't) all we need is the right mental toughness and limit the amount of mistakes.

I agree. Winning under these circumstances will build confidence and character. That can go a long way toward a successful season.

I agree. It will definitely be a challenge though.

Speaking of injuries, I wonder how T Smith's knee is feeling? Aw heck he's 20 years old. He probably is fully healed now. B)
