I'm sure there are many people in the world that would say the same about pro sports championship games, interviews and general hooplah.

Luckily, the TV comes with more than one channel.

With sports it's all about who's the best and competition to begin with....I could actually do without all the hooplah....I also think awards shows (ESPYs etc) for sports is equally self-serving.

But you have a point....to each their own. If someone likes to see overhyped prima donnas glorify themselves, then that's their affair.

i like the oscars. The john hughes tribute was a nice touch.

the man was a genius. I wish I could make movies just like he did, his movies are absolutely perfect.

i'm watching trail blazers/nuggets on ESPN right now. did catch both jeff bridges & sandra bullock win their oscars though. very nice.

I did not expect that, since usually Hollywood has such a fine appreciation for the filthy lucre.

Better them or the football players than the lawyers.....unless they're Cowboys fans as well.
