just accept the fact that another year has gone by and you are are not getting any younger and the glory days of the 70's and 90's will never happen again?
I will certainly not be as engrossed in football as I usually m. I will root for the Panthers now that the Boys are eliminated since they are the "local" team here (even though Charlotte is more than 100 miles from Raleigh). I like the Colts & Chargers in the AFC so I'll pull for whichever of them does well.
In a way I am relieved that the Cowboys are out now. They weren't playing as a team and likely wouldn't have gone far anyway. I had hopes that they could pull it together but those dreams were shattered by halftime today.
I turned the game off just before halftime and played Wii with my grandson. I checked back in in the 3rd quarter and saw that we were getting crushed and went back to playing tank killer(or whatever it is called). That is the first time that I can remember ever turning off a Cowboys game before it was over. I just saw that they had no heart for this game and I didn't want to see them flounder around for another half. After seeing the final score I'm glad I did. My grandson & I had a great time together instead although my wife could tell that something was wrong as I was pretty grouchy all evening.
It just kills me to see all this talent wasted like this.
Does anyone else remember the old days when the Cowboys didn't suck? I miss the 70s.
On the other hand, I still have the Lakers to root for!
