What are you looking for in a WR in this draft?

A true number one type receiver if he is the pick at 24. Physically has length, plays outside, runs in the 4.4 range, and sure handed.

Big Slot. The Cowboys have two quality outside receivers. I want a big slot WR like Shakir or Pierce.

Pretty much every simulated draft I’ve run has Shakir there for the taking…..and I’ve taken him

If we do eventually draft a WR this year, what are you hoping this WR(s) will be like ?

The bigger Michael Gallup or Cedrick Wilson type ?

Or do you prefer the smaller quicker types... ala Tyler Lockett, Cooper Kupp, Brandon Cooks,...Jaylen Waddle

I would rather see them get an all around TE that can block.

Our tendency is toward size over speed, so I won't be surprised if any receiver we take is 6-1 or better. I know we got Washington in free agency and he's 5-11, but guys under 6-0 have been the exception, not the rule, especially when it comes to the draft. The last short receiver we drafted was Ryan Switzer in 2017 and he didn't stay on the team longer than the other WR we drafted that year, Noah Brown.

So I guess this isn't stating what I prefer, but more what I expect. I don't expect us to get the smaller, quicker types. I mean, it's possible that it has just been a matter of how the drafts fell and who was available, but not only has every receiver we've drafted the last four years been 6-1 or taller, but even the UDFA WRs we get are generally taller players.
