Add FB Hunter Luepke to the list (even though he was a UDFA following the 2023 draft).

My expectations is everyone takes a step forward except Deuce and Mazi. I think Mazi is a bust and I think Deuce will get cut unless he shows something on STs.

Everyone else is going to have a bump in production IMO.

DT Mazi Smith

Will start and get a lions share of reps at DT. Im optimistic because Zimmer has done well with big DT's. However I dont expect him to be more than average

TE Luke Schoonmaker

Not expecting much. I even think Stephens could push him for the #2 TE spot

LB DeMarvion Overshown

He was an ascending player in college, and looked great before getting hurt. I think he should have a strong 2024

DT Viliami Fehoko

Id be surprised if he gets 100 defensive snaps

OT/OG Asim Richards

What can you really say with back up OL. Unlike other positions, there aren't subs and your playing time is dependent on injuries for back up OL. Saying that I expect he should be at least serviceable if he has to step in

CB Eric Scott

Not expecting much. I expect him to lose to Carson but beat out Wright.

HB Deuce Vaughn

I dont expect him to make the roster

WR Jalen Brooks

I think he could challenge Tolbert for the #3 spot. However that says more about our depth at WR than how good Brooks. Either, I expect him to get worked in to the offense this to some degree. 200 snaps of he is the #4, 500 or so if he is the #3

Yeah, I mean that’s what we hope for. They’re still young and developing. Putting much expectations on them now is a bit premature as it is with any 2nd year player on any team in the NFL.
One never knows how things will work out. But I answered how I honestly feel. I mean, does anyone actually think any of those players will take a step back from what they did last year?

Year two is when a player is supposed to make their biggest improvement. That said I dont see much for Mazi. Being a top pick they will push him but he looks at best average talent.

Schoon besides being over age cant stay healthy. He just had 4 months off and his hamstrings are a problem? Maybe he develops into a decent two? Watch the FA from U Minn.

Overshown coming off injury probably gets on the field a lot and contributes.

Fehoko maybe 10 snaps a game? Maybe none.

Richards best case swing tackle/ guard. If he plays more than that probably not good for the projected starting five.

Scott if he makes the roster either special teams or inactive. The coach that wanted him is gone.

Duece gonna gets flushed.

Brooks either contributes a lot as a 3 or some as a 4.

Hoping for improvement but expecting it to look a lot like last year.

I want overshown to break out, I’ve already written the others off. It’s Mazis last year to prove himself or he’ll be cut. Schoonmaker will have to wait until his 3rd year so maybe they get two years out of him, then if he’s any good he’ll be a cap causality.

Mazi? I hope he’s serviceable and can just add something to the line. We will see where his head is at.

O? Honestly, I think he’s going to be an absolute beast.

Shoon? Meh, I still don’t like this pick and with SJS coming back from injury, I think Hendershot might be the odd man out for Shoon the old guy. I think Hendershot has a higher ceiling than Shoon.

Duece? PS

Brooks? Probably PS

Fehoko? Serviceable rotation guy.

Scott? ST

Richards? Swing tackle.
