I've been watching Combat lately. I'd never seen it until about a month ago. Pretty good. It's on at 9 and 10 AM EST on directtv channel 532.

The only new network shows I watch are Lost and Prison Break on the west coast channels and occasionally the Simpsons.

Mythbusters, Battlefield Detectives, old Junkyard Wars reruns, that's about the only other "grown up" TV I watch with kids around. Right now Dragon Tales is on Sprout.
I understand.
I watch everything on tivo after 9pm, rofl.

My Tivo thought I was 3 and kept suggesting I record Barney or Dora so I turned off the suggestions.

My attempts to explain to my 3 and 5 year old girls the big screen isn't for cartoons have failed miserably. Works about as well as telling my wife not to go shopping.

OMG!!!! Thank you. I use to watch a show all the time that I couldn't get enough off and couldn't remember the name of it.. I'd try to describe it to people and they could never tell me the name of it. The last episode was the detective Tim tracking down the man that molested him when he was a boy and killing him.... Homicide Life on the Street!! Thank you, thank you, thank you

My shows are...

House - my absolute favorite right now, replacing CSI
CSI - all of them but especially the original
Law and Order - All of them - especially SVU
ER

*** I've never missed an episode of the bolded ones that I currently watch***
Homicide Life on the street
Hill Street Blues
Everybody Loves Raymond

And the really old classics....

Bonanza
Andy Griffith
The Carol Burnett show
I Love Lucy
Three's Company
Mary Tyler Moore
Maude
Alice
Gunsmoke
Get Smart
M*A*S*H*
The Monkeys
National Geographics
Wild Kindom - The Mutual of Omaha ones
In Search Off... Leonard Nemoyd (sp)
H.R. Puffinstuff - my little kid days :)

There are a lot more that I just can't think of right now

....and my guilty pleasure... The A-Team! :D

Boy do I feel like a couch potato!

IMO, for the most part, TV stunk until the last decade when cable started to push studios to make better stuff. There is a great documentary on the cable channel Trio that talks about all the quality shows that never it past their pilot episode because they were too edgy for primetime viewing. I honestly don't consider much of the sitcoms or late night shows on TV funny (except Monty Python) until Saturday Night Live in 1975 when Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Jon Belushi, Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase and others brought it to a whole new level.

Hill Street Blues is the best TV show I ever saw.I remember watching the pilot episode- 1981; I was blown away- just plain magnitudes beyond anything on the air at that time.To me that show was the first of the REAL drama's to make it to TV.Modern TV drama was born that night.

The Sopranos is the best show ever. After that comes:

The Office- British version of course. The American version is cringe-inducing (and I like Steve Carell as an actor.)

24- Not always believable, but unbelievably compulsive.

Lost- Just got into this. Very well done.

O.C.- Ok it's a guilty pleasure. Bought the box set for my wife in an attempt to disprove the notion that I always buy her things I want. Turns out, I've become as big a fan as she is.

Seinfeld- Up until the last few seasons.

Simpsons- Has long since jumped the shark, but the seasons 2-4 are classic.

Friends- First 4 seasons, that's it.

Spitting Image- Great British show with puppets.

Beavis and Butthead- Another guilty pleasure.

Dallas- J.R. is one of the greatest characters ever.

I've only seen a couple of episodes of Arrested Development and found it to be pretty funny. For some reason, I can't really get into Family Guy.

Just noticed a serious omission on my part: Trailer Park Boys. The best TV show to come out of Canada.
