What are your thoughts on our chances vs. NO?

I believe that this wont be a hard of a game as it is being billed to be. NO has no formible running game, has a decent WR corps, and a injured Star TE. The defense has been playing good, but not great. I think we follow the Jets blueprint and start with the run(for real this time), and then use play action. I think Dez goes off, but the biggest key of this game, KEEP THE PRESSURE ON BREES. Getting Ware back should help! Go BOYS!

I think we get utterly spanked ending the "we can play with anyone" and "we play to the level of our competition" talk. But what do I know.......

It depends on what team shows up. If our defense and oline continue down the path they have lately, then I could see a complete blowout.

I think exactly the opposite of the poster above. We'll play it closer than people expect and then go down to the last few minutes against NYG and Oakland.

Rob Ryan is the wild card in this game. Is his players on defense give the extra effort to get him a win against the people that fired him last year OR will the people that fired him be able to exploit the same problems he was fired for?

Nothing. Same as the rest of us.

Even getting "utterly spanked" wont put a end to any talk. Just like if we were to "uttterly spank" the Saints there would be the same story about how we suck anyway.

Yeah. Other than Brees going 32-40 for 462 yards and 5 TDs, it shouldn't be very difficult

the thing is the saints will be all in on this game just losing to the jets and hearing that all week and ryan getting fired by dallas if the cowboys figure out a way to win this game it will be huge. I think I will watch it through my fingers mostly hoping but not sure if they can pull it off

I think it'll be a close game through the first half, but the Saints will inexorably pull ahead until it's completely out of reach by the middle of the 4th quarter. A bit like the Chargers game without the INT return for a TD. Or like the '07 Patriots game.

Of course, I'm really hoping it's just like the '09 Saints game. But I just don't see it.

Yeah, I don't see that part. If by some miracle we rout the Saints in NO, the Super Bowl talk will be deafening, unless Brees leaves the game after the first series or something.

48-46 Saints. I look for a shoot out of two of the best QBs in the league. Repeat of the Denver game more or less.

The Saints were going to be all in on this game regardless of what happened against the Jets. That game has no bearing on ours. We can beat these guys. While they are 6-2 they have beaten up on lesser competition all year. Just like us they have been beating bad teams and losing to good ones.

Wins:

Falcons
Buccaneers
Cardinals
Dolphins
Bears
Bills

Losses:

Patriots
Jets

The only quality win they have this year is against Chicago and they only managed to beat Tampa by 2. I am not underestimating how good they are but I do not fear them.

Agreed. I think a lot of people especially on here are thinking this is the Saints of the past few years where they drop 35-40 on you. This team is not that dynamic. They still have a good offense but it's not some unstoppable juggernaut like Denver. Their running game is probably worse than ours and their receivers aren't all that dynamic or big time playmakers. It's gonna be a tough game but nothing near impossible to win.

I think we will get chances against Ryans defense for big plays, we just need to execute. Should be a shootout, be a miracle if either team runs the ball more than 10 times each.

I have no clue.

Geno Smith was 8/19 for 115yds 0TD, 0INT against New Orleans. Yet, I have a feeling Tony Romo may have to put up 400+yds and hit 4+tds just to have a shot at winning this game.

Jets held Brees in check with a good pass rush. Dallas' pass rush may get there a couple of times, but not on a consistant enough basis to keep the Saints on the field.

I don't think Dallas gets blasted, but the offense will have to not settle for FGs and control the clock in order to win this game. They have the potential to do it...I hope they can pull it off.

Yep. Bears are the only good win on that list. The Saints are frauds, and I don't buy them as a legit contender for one second. However, considering the fact that we haven't beaten anybody good either, its anyone's game. I'd be absolutely shocked if Dallas wins.
