Usually I know quite a few of the names... This time only Coe and King.

King was a tackling machine so I would hope he might be depth and a special teams guy.

Don't know much about the others.

I'd like to see Brendel spend a couple years in the weight room.....in the meantime, teach him to long snap:)

Its a very unimpressive bunch again, this time i wouldnt be surprised if not a single UDFA made it to the 53,Coe and King might be PS worthy but i would still like the replace Street.

Don't know about any of them other then WR Chris Brown. He has the speed and the route running. maybe he turns out to be another UDFA gem.

That's the name that caught my eye.

He might stick.

I don't much about any of them. From what little I've seen the Eagan kid has some crazy agility. Andy Jones looks like a man amongst boys at Jacksonville U. Wish King was bigger. He's got a little game. Azubike absolutely has the size and frame to play DE.

Eagan might have the best shot. But he will have to really shine on kick and punt returns since there is no way he will be allowed to compete for Beasley's job.

The DT and the best ones were picked in the 4 6th rounds?
They learned their lesson with Rawls.

Alex Khvatov: What do you plan to show scouts at your Pro Day?

Andy Jones: I want to show them that I am a big receiver who can stick out and catch the ball. I have a good catching radius. I am athletic, can jump high and get in and out of my breaks. I can play special teams. I was a gunner on punt returns for three years and a blocker on kickoffs. I want to get 39 inches and above on the vertical and shooting for a 10’5 in the broad. I want to run a 4.4. I am working on my start. Once I get going, I am usually pretty good with my speed. I clocked consistently under a 7.00 in the 3-cone. My goal is to get a 4.0 in the shuttle. I will attend the Florida’s pro day on March 22nd.

Alex Khvatov:
What type of feedback did you receive from scouts at these all-star games?

Andy Jones: They told me that my initial 10 yards off the line are shocking. I am able to clear the DB and stack over the top of him. I need to get in and out of my route and create more separation. They liked my downfield speed and the ability to separate from the DB’s. I jump pretty high. They told me that I need to run faster and get quicker in and out of my route at the pro day.

Alex Khvatov:
What are your strengths?

Andy Jones: My speed is probably not looked at first. DB usually underestimates my speed. But it is a benefit to me. I have good leaping ability because I have a basketball background. It is like getting the rebound. I have quick feet and strong hands at the line of scrimmage. I am a good route runner.

Alex Khvatov:
What separates you from the other players at your position?

Andy Jones: Film study. In college, they taught me how to watch film. We had worksheets, and they got us engaged in film study. They wanted you to understand coverage and different leverages. It opens it up on a whole different level. They taught me how to watch film, and it helps you in the game. I am able to grasp concepts quickly. I am a quick learner. I also played special teams, which will help me at the next level.

but i would still like the replace Street.

We may not need a push from any rookie wide receivers to slide Devin Street off the roster.

The third year wideout will need to show improvement or he could be sent packing.

It looks like we will carry 3 QBs. 4 RBs and/or 4 TEs might also occur.

5 WRs is a strong possibility with a couple of eligible guys getting re-signed to the Practice Squad.

Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley are locks.

Lucky Whitehead is also a returner and Brice Butler flashed some ability before and after getting injured.

It might come down to Street and Butler for the fifth and final spot. I like Butler in that contest.

If you don't want discuss UDFAs you are welcome to leave Booseman.

It looks like he was doing good with the discussion. There don't seem to be many UDFA that brings much hope this year:

Here I thought you were going to counter with the fact that USC is not really a small school.

I'm reserving judgement on the UDFA's. From my experience, nobody here is all that familiar with most of the players who've ended up sticking in the past, anyway. Some 2 or 3 of these guys will end up surprising somebody sometime in camp.

Many of us don't come here to read non-stop snark.

What would you prefer?

Talking about how Andy Jones's vertical leap means something when it pretty much doesn't?

How about how Jake Brendel has started a lot of football games and how that might not matter at the end of the day?

How about how Ed Eagen might be a good ST player but since he is not able to play on the perimeter that he might have a tough time making the team and some other player who is taller might bave a better shot?

Hey, Austin Traylor is supposed to be a good blocker.

Did you know Dave Hedelin was Swedish?

Or that Arjen Colquhoun is Canadian?

Let's "discuss" it. Like has been done in other threads

Come on. Let's get to the level of discussion that you want, which has already been posted in other threads for you to read and consume.
