What Are Your Top 5 Michael Jackson Songs?

Uhh....yeah. What's your point? I didn't say he didn't write, "arrange", or compose his songs. I just think he's a better performance artist than he is a songwriter. Those songs are pretty "meh" in the annals of songwriting IMO.

I do? I don't recall having any such "e-problem" with you or anyone else not on my ignore list. I do, however, have a problem with people "putting words in my mouth".

First off, I still love the Jackson 5...everything they did.

I'm not too familiar with his early solo stuff, so I can't comment. I loved everything on "Off the Wall", and was a big fan of "Thriller". I grew less enamored with every attempt after that. He just lost his appeal to me as he became "whiter and weirder".

I just don't think that most of his music qualifies as quality songwriting. There are examples that I think are quality (even some of the stuff after I stopped listening to him), but as a whole, I don't believe that to be MJ's strongest talent.

I hear you on the weirdness. He became a freak show over the past 20 or so years....but I am talking about his music, and he produced some brilliant music even until the 90s. Mozart and Beetoven were pretty weird also

I forgot about this one. That was a great song with Sir Paul. The music video was good too.

Except that MJ was perving on his own sister in that video. Couldn't they have found a different actress for the part? Creepy.

I'll say it: Hendrix was a genius. Hendrix had talent. Michael Jackson was devoid of musical talent. Jackson was a fraud, merely a moonwalking, one-glove wearing freak in a red letter jacket who liked to sleep with little boys.
