Isn't it odd how much Bill knows about the swelling, soreness, etc. that T.O. has in his hand after his surgery, but he never did really "know" anything about T.O.'s hamstring?

I'm not saying anything, I'm just saying .....

If a finger is broken it's broken and the doctors can put a timetable on recovery - history tells them what the recovery time should be.

If a hamstring hurts it could be torn, pulled or strained, and at any of varying degrees - plus obviously hamstrings aren't bone and therefore heal differently, and everyone's hamstrings aren't the same.

hey Hey Hey, stop, just stop, just stop

Making sense is not allowed in this thread. Go somewhere else with your intellgince. ;)

I know right... Bill Parcells would never do anything to decieve the media!

BP says he once had several broken bones in one hand, so he knows something about that type of injury.

If you all bother to listen to the press conference, it's obvious that he's actually been talking to T.O. about his injury specifically. He always claimed that he didn't talk to T.O. or the trainers about the hammy, remember? There were lots of "I don't know's" and "I haven't talked to him's" during training camp press conferences. And if you'll read what I wrote, I'm not talking about the timeframe for recovery or hand injuries in general. I'm talking about specific knowledge of how T.O.'s swelling, pain level, reaction to pain medication were all doing.

Regardless of whether there is any deeper meaning to any of this or not, it is very interesting that he's treating the injury differently now.

The only thing interesting is that you actually believed him when he said "I don't know" about something pertaining to HIS TEAM! That man knows EVERY DETAIL about every player on his team! I assure you.

The only reason he would say he "DIDNT KNOW" when he was asked 1 million times about TO and his hamstring is just to avoid making really ANY comment about that situation at all.

First off I have never believed that Bill "didn't know" all of the stuff that he claims that he didn't know. Nor did I believe that he had not spoken to Owens about all of the stuff that he claimed not to have spoken with Owens about. Parcells is just too crafty to let the media in on those conversations and allow them to twist everything that he tells them. He is not going to let the media drive wedges into his team and he is certainly not going to give them any openings in which to start driving their wedges.

Parcells and Owens have danced their private mating dance throughout training camp. And the media was not invited to the party; they just had to peek through the windows and catch glimpses of the ritual.

Make no mistake. Parcells knows every single solitary thing that goes on with his team. Just because he says "I don't know" to the media doesn't actually mean he doesn't know. In Parcells-speak, what it means is that he's not happy with the player or the situation, but isn't going to throw gas & light a match. "I don't know" from Parcells is like "we'll see" from your mom--they don't mean it literally.

It's amazing to me that you don't think things change once the regular season starts .......

He know as much about TO's hand as he did about his hammy...It's what he's saying that is different.
