Wasn't the ugly way the Cowboys won the game. A win is a win. No, what bothered me most was the "give up" I saw by players that are supposed to be the playmakers on this team.

Mainly the play where I saw pretty much the whole defensive line just stop and stand there because they were supposedly caught off guard by the Browns going hurry up. Ware and Spencer in particular just flat out quit.

I'm a big believer in effort. I can take a loss as long you leave it all on the field. IMHO there is no excuse and I hope Garrett addresses the issue. Give 100% not because you are getting paid but because you are men and it is embarrassing not to. No way you win a championship with players that think otherwise.

Anyway just venting...

It will end as it did last year..no playoffs

How the year will end cannot be predicted...the NFC East is floundering in general and getting to the playoffs is not yet an impossibility. Get there and it starts over...clean slate.

What I saw by certain players against the Browns was disturbing, though.

Teams don't win games they give up.

Teams don't but it appears players can. Saw it with my own eyes...

Maybe they made up for it later in the game but in any case it was unacceptable from players we deem leaders of the team.

We gave up in a comeback win?

Confused me too.

That's the one positive you can take away from the game. They fought. They didn't give up.

I'm happy about the win but I was just surprised that they gave up like they did on the play.

Just one play so I guess it was no big deal. Have a feeling that if they had lost it wouldn't be pushed under the rug, though.

You may have saw quit in that 1 play.. I saw a silly defense called with a 3 man rush by Rob Ryan being blocked up pretty well by the o-line of the Browns... If you can, try and look past that 1 play, b/c Anthony Spencer balled out and showed no quit & I thought he played the strongest on the defensive side of the ball Sunday.

I'm surprised you aren't harping on Dez's odd "business decision" play.

yeah we did, I know the exact play OP is referring to..Spencer basically just stood there..I remember my girl yelling "Isn't he the one that admitted to taking plays off a few years back?!" I was pissed at Spencer, but I've never been more proud of my girl. I love her so much...

I saw that, too. And I was pissed. If you can't go all out then get a replacement player in there and catch a breather for a few. However, that's the only time I saw him quit.

You know, sometimes the other team has coaches that are really smart, and they see something and catch the Cowboys by surprise. That is what happened. They didn't give up; they didn't know what to do. I'm sure they will correct it and the next time a team tries it, the Boys will know where to position themselves.
