We had been moving the ball ALL day. Did they change their defense? Did we change our offense? Did Romo, the offensive coaches and the players just panic and choke?

A part of me felt like because of Romo's history to get a little anxious in these situations. Perhaps we should have just run the ball on 1st down and get 4 - 5 yards? Just something to settle into the drive. I mean we get SACKED on the first play! And now he is pressing and threw a pick into triple coverage. I am baffled so someone with more intel than me....please weight in

BTW, by no means am I blaming Romo or the offense for this loss. But this was one of those games where the team that hung tough for 60 mins would win..and in the end we gave it to them instead of taking for ourselves. Instead of making them earn it. Just gave it to them.

This is what I've stated before. Garrett didn't step up and assess the situation and make the proper adjustment. They had 6 DBS at that time. Why not run it up the middle? Thus my assessment is that the LACK of coaching and leadership is what lost this game for us.

The Bronco switched to zone coverage after playing man nearly the whole 2md half. Romo took a chance and was burned. He should have took the check down.

They should have ran at least two times and take the game into overtime after the sack. Garrett, Callahan and Romo all had a hand in that fail but the HC gets most of my blame. I know, I know, play to win rather than play not to lose but there is no excuse for giving Denver back the ball in any form.

Then I want my coaching braintrust to anticipate what the opposition MIGHT do and have the team ready with a counter move. You simply cannot take a sack on 1st down!

Or they could have done something surprising like a delayed draw up the middle on 2nd and long. At least that would get back the yardage necessary for a 3rd down.

I too believe this is a coaching problem. Not that Garrett didn't make the wrong adjustments. He just doesn't have it to make any time of adjustments during crunchtime. Thus thats a coaching issue on his part.

they brought pressure...it led to a sack and ultimately a push that allowed Romo to trip not get his feet set and throw a bad pass.

On 1st down Romo held the ball for a good while then ran to the right - looked like leary was also pushing his man to the right - looked like Romo ran into a sack. Should have thrown it away there. But there were a few other times in this game that conventional wisdom says throw it away and he made big plays so......

2nd and 16, pressure coming, maybe romo got a little nervous and probably felt the need to force something - maybe the defense just made a great play IDK. Trent dilfer says Escobar drifted deeper instead of flatten his route which allowed the defender to get in position for INT.
