With all the defensive players the Cowboys have added especially adding 2 new starting corners if the D isn't considerably better this upcoming season then everyone is going to want Ryan out of here.

Callahan . The bashing of the "zone blocking scheme" set it commence in 3.2.1 :p:

If Garrett ices our kicker one more time, it's over.

really? i think our ST are well coached, it isn't his fault we can't find a return man to save our life. His best special teams guys keep getting replaced and he keeps getting guys to replace them, two years ago sam hurd was the best tackler, last year it was holley and mccray and now holley is gone and i'm sure he will find someone to replace him as well

Callahan, we're setting him up for failure. All this talk of Costa improving, Livings and Bernadeau being great under the radar signings and Arkin and Nagy making strides is really going to sting in hindsight if it all comes crumbling down.

If given the choice between admitting their blind optimism clouded their judgement or blaming Callahan, this board will turn on Bill in a heartbeat.

Good point. He's gotta make chicken salad out of chicken ****.

Callahan annoys me. Also, he destroyed Nebraska. Yeah, i brought that up.

The recruiting of Frank Solich destroyed Nebraska. Callahan simply inherited a program in the very early stages of cancer. It all went to **** when Solich's final two classes were juniors and seniors.

I think the D comes in and performs very well. Possibly ranked somewhere between 10-15. Rob Ryan gets a HC gig and Garrett promotes one of defensive assistants to DC.

We dont have an official O Coordinator ... so i predict that everyone screams that we need one.

Uh, Callahan tried to completely change Nebraska's famed run-oriented, power option offense into a west-coast, pass-heavy offense. Maybe the recruiting sucked, but Callahan is every bit as guilty for ****ing that program up.

At this point, with the turnover that we have had over the past two seasons, I can't envision any coach being the goat. I will say that one thing that annoys me about our special teams is that the kick returners seem to jog on their way to getting tackled around the twenty while other teams seem to hit the returns full speed and end up with better starting position. I don't know if that is a coaching thing, but definitely something I would like to see the ST coaches address.

Good question! I'll reserve my answer for after the season, I want to see how the young linemen on both sides of the ball progress.

i don't want any coach to get fired. finding a solid team to grow with each other would be ideal and benefit the organization tremendously. all of this short-sighted, impatient, reactionary behavior does no one any good. at the end of the day it isn't the coaches fault who got fired. it's the person who keeps hiring new ones over and over. clearly the evaluation of talent is subpar. and that's not a knock on jj. there's more than one person involved in a decision to hire someone.

i think we have a good group of coaches now that deserve a few years.

That's the system he has always run. Hard to blame the guy for doing what he said he would do. What did you expect? That he would come in and use a system he had never run because of tradition? The people at Nebraska knew he was going to change the system when they hired him.

To be fair, I think some of us, myself included, have wanted DeCamillis gone for quite a while.
