It's more about the contracts these guys sign. Hatcher is likely to net us a 4th rounder.

The only teams to likely get 3rd rounders will be the Pats (Talib), Bengals (Michael Johnson), Chiefs (Branden Albert) and Bills (Byrd)

What else would he do? The guy just wants to go home early and ski like he always does. I just don't see a guy who loves football, nothing wrong with that necessarily it just makes him less valuable than the stats suggest. He's lucky he was blessed with soooo much God given talent or he would have been out of the league a long time ago.

Yes, was just thinking of posting this. I think we lost a few more FA's, but insignificant as to their value to the team they signed with, or was released by them.
We won't be getting anything in return.

The contract plays a major factor, but not as big of a factor as net gain/net lost. With a net gain, all we can hope for is a 7th

We lost McCray too. And Sims although I dont know if he counts because he got cut

If Melton counts as a vet min guy I think those two close to cancel out Melton and McClain with Hatchers deal weighing against Minceys
