Yea, I’m sensing there could be some major changes in Title Town if this season totally flops.

they will finish with a lopsided losing record, they literally don’t have the roster to win very many more games this season and they have one of the toughest remaining schedules in the league. I could see them finishing with only 5-6 wins. Cowboys, Dolphins, Eagles, Titans, Bears, Rams, Vikings, Lions….who they beating? Lions….Bears, maybe the Rams?
I think it’s well know that AR would want to go back out west if he leaves and LV has a decent roster. Also, just seems like AR was destined to be a Raider, perennial bad guy.

So GB will bench Rodgers, who will be earning $31.6M in 2023 with $99.7M in dead money, for Love and not expect a dramatic soap opera event? In 2024 Rodgers counts $40.7M against the cap with $24.4M in dead money so the guess is that unless GB wants to handcuff themselves with a lot of dead money and major drama, Rodgers remains the starter through 2024.

I’m just saying if this season is basically over then at some point they might want to see what they have with Love .

If Love sits on he bench thru 2024 that would be his entire Rookie contract without an opportunity after using a 1st round pick .

This disappointing season appears to be that perfect opportunity. And who knows there was rumors this past off season Rodgers might be traded. I could see those rumors inflated after this season .

Yea, Rodgers is the QB in GB for at least 2 more years. I don't believe GB has any hope of Love being their starter, so they would still have to bring in another QB to compete if they traded Rodgers. I do sense the organization is feeling the stress of being so uncompetitive and it really falls on the lack of talent at the WR position. That is on the F.O., but the lack of talent is being felt by the HC and his QB. Vey similar to what happened to McCarthy. The Packers went out and signed a bunch of really good FAs after firing McCarthy and the defense was a significant part of their success for a while.

Ironically, it was McCarthy who led the Packers to a Championship when they had a staggering number of player on IR. We see him work the depth in Dallas now and I am glad he is traveling to GB with the Cowboys instead of being there with Rodgers waiting on the Cowboys.

The last time the Packers missed the playoffs with a healthy Rodgers it cost McCarthy his job. Is it possible Rodgers future in Green Bay could be at stake ?

Cowboys fans know all too well the impressive stats that Rodgers has stacked up against Dallas, highlighted by his overall 7-3 mark as a starter including 2 playoff wins.

At 3-6, the Packers are struggling and with the Cowboys (6-2) coming to town on Sunday, it could be a make-or-break game for the Pack.

Only one team in NFL history has made the playoff after a 3-7 start. That team was Washington in 2020, finishing at 7-9.

The Packers season is probably on the line today. And perhaps Rodgers career in Green Bay is at stake as well with 1st round pick heir apparent Jordan Love waiting in the wings.
Rodgers signed a 3 year, 150M contract in 2022. Most of it is guaranteed.

The dead money cap hit to cut him in 2023 is 99.8M...

If there’s season is officially over already as you are presenting then is Green Bay looking at a total rebuild next year.

What does this disappointing season mean for them moving forward ?
Please don't take this wrong, but I frankly don't care. Them not making the playoffs is good enough for me!

So, they use a 1st round pick on a QB with no intentions for Love to eventually take over ?
The intention was to avoid giving Rodgers the contract that they gave him in 2022...

If Love looked like the heir apparent, they wouldn't have given Rodgers the new contract.

Love's QB rating in 2021 was 68 and his QBR was 31. He had 1 start.

Well, they drafted Love in 2020 and signed Rodgers to an extension last year so not much of a vote of confidence in Love being the heir apparent.

Green Bay is stupid...it must be all that cheese

Teams in the modern era can rebuild in 1 off- season if they already have a QB.

NYG 4 wins last season now 6 of 8.
Eagles 9 in 2021, now 8 of 8.

I don’t believe Jordan Love is the answer in Green Bay. If Aaron Rodgers isn’t the Packers QB next season it will likely be because he retired. I’m sure he would hate to end his career on a bad note, but he will probably consider retirement the way this season has gone. He’s clearly not happy with his receivers. The Packers might have to make some significant moves at receiver to get him to come back.

So, I wonder what their plan is for Love then . Just release a 1st round pick at some point.

This season when it’s officially over might be a good time for some exposure if they intend on possibly trading him to recover some draft capital , assuming he’s not the heir apparent.

They could decide that Rodgers needs time for his thumb to heal...

Looks like Packers season isn’t over yet.

Nor is Rodgers. Never count out a champion.
