What could have been: Marcus Lattimore to retire

I feel bad for the kid. That truly awful, awful knee injury at South Carolina has destroyed his football future for good. He was so amazing to watch in college before that unfortunate injury. I thought he could have had a tremendous NFL career, back then. But oh man, that injury...honestly one of the most gruesome I've ever seen...

I think his problems started even before that big injury his last season at South Carolina. He tore a knee ligament his sophomore season and he didn't look quite right his junior season before suffering that major knee injury. I was rooting for him to make a come back, but I figured he was a long shot to recover from that devastating injury.

Sucks for him. Was deadly at SC and fun to watch.

Always a shame to see this kind of thing happen to an athlete.

His dream was basically taken away before he even had a real shot to try and make it actually happen. It sucks for those guys who don't even get the shot to prove they belong.
