With Boldin wanting out of Arizona, what would it take to get him in Dallas?
Maybe a 2nd rounder and BARBER...Barber looks to have lost a step..He just is not hitting the holes like he once did when he was the BARBARIAN. He has fumbled Numerous times this season.. We need to get jones and choice more carries..and look to trade Barber for a WR..Imagine a receiving corps with Miles Austin,Roy Williams,Boldin, and Crayton..

Absolutely nothing.

No team would give anything for a highly-paid RB who's already showing signs of significant decline.

What makes you think Arizona would be interested in trading Boldin for MBIII?

The Cardinals don't need Barber.

They already have a Barber clone in Hightower.

Only thing we can get with Barber is a few 1 or 2 yard pick ups some loss for yardage plays and the occasional fumble for that extra bit of spice that makes it taste that much better.

And come out that much more painful.

One of the guys on I think Fox pregame said that he was sick of watching MBIII celebrate after 2 yard runs. At first I said apparently he never watches the New Jersey defense...

But MBIII really has started drinking his own kool aid. Every time he powers through a hole he seems fired up. I know he's an energy type of guy, but he's way more show than substance right now.

I also think his quad is still probably hurting....because you don't just loose burst overnight and he had it early in the season.

Probably a high 4th rounder. I said awhile back that Choice was the better RB and I got ragged on. Teams are figuring our Barber like Juluis when his production dropped. barber is still a good RB, but I honestly beleive Choice would have done more productive with those carries. I think Barber is still starting based on what he has done in the past veruses who is actually better in the present.

Barber is a contact runner, and the reality is that RBs that run like him don't last long. However, I think that if we were going to get anything for him, we should have traded him this past offseason.

We won't get anything higher than a 5th right now.

Barber is untradeable because of that contract.

He will have to go the waiver wire route. If he had some honour, he'd do a renegotiation of his contract to his current value but that won't happen.

We should probably draft another back in the 3rd or 4th round in this draft.

It is hard to trade high signing bonus players in the age of the salary cap because of the big cap hit the trading team has to absorb. If not for that, I guarantee he would have been traded with the emergence of Choice and Felix.

If Jerry had had half a brain, he would have let Barber play out his tender in 2008 and prove that he could be a full-time elite RB as a starter, 20-25 touches a game. Does anyone think Barber would have earned a $8M/year contract after his 2008 campaign? I think he would have been glad to sign that 5 year $25M offer.

Barber is a real risk to get cut in this uncapped year, if I understand how the system would work for this year. Hes probably the 3rd best back on the team right now. If he's the heart of the offense, as a lot have claimed in the past, then we have a legitimate problem on offense.

With the contract the size he signed we could get exactly nothing for him right now.

And even if we could WR is not what we would need to even be trying to get.

Like most selfish athletes, he got his big pay day after feeling he deserved alot more originally and has become complacent. Clearly he is a shell of his former self who seems to be content on just being average and nothing like the player that earned him the big money.

The loss of the salary cap couldn't come sooner so we can dump him and let Choice and Jones become the running game.
