What could we get for our (Cowboys) Roy Williams?

And as far as his replacement, slide Henry in there. Take 2 corners with our first four picks. A starter, and a third guy.

cause sliding a CB to safety just seems to be the in vogue thing to do. since we're in a trade RW thread i can't say i'm surprised. any minute now we'll hear the oh - so - fun - and - not - said - enough "let's trade roy for roy!" in reference to detroits wr.

newman was hurt a lot last year. we lost reeves. maybe not superstar but not too bad. no guarantee the dude behind draft pick $2 will be any better. just different.

so now you want to take our other starting cb and move him over and turn the backfield over to 2 rookies, newman, and a few spares we've picked up late on day 2.

i'll let you re-explain what's right with it as i feel too much like superpunk right about now.

that's fair, but my vote isn't any worse than watching Roy Boy get burned over and over. Might as well let it be by a rookie corner as oppossed to an old guy that isnt going to learn anything new.

I would agree that I'd hate to move Henry, as I think he is a good corner, especially on a team with a thin secondary, but how many years does he have there still, and if you recall, he has injury issues, too. I'd feel better about my rookie corner and Newman with Hamlin and Henry back there. We would basically have three corners on the field.

Seriously, what is so bad about that? I'm not saying it is our best option, but I feel better about it than with Roy in coverage.

i'm one of the few who doesn't think roy is as bad as "the mob" makes him out to be. now this isn't to say he's who he used to be. clearly not. he seems to hit apathy more than opponants anymore. but our only feasable thing to do right now is wait at least 1 more year and give it some time most don't want to do.

IGS - instant gratification society. next year if he still isn't what we need we can look at options here. just not likely this year, that's all. so let him fall in love with #38, watch #31 on sale for $19.95 at the outlet center and the #38 ones for $9.95 cause no one wants those either.

unless he has a good year. then things change all over again.

maybe campo can help roy. but we simply can't take this hit this year and yes, have to gamble he'll come around. at least for 1 more year anyway.
