Last week I seen 3 different owners talking to the media. So Jerry is not the only one. However it is a fan favorite to bash him over it.
Come on Jazz. No owner in pro sports talks to the media as much as our owner. Sure JJ isn’t the only one. But he’s the most talkative one.

Yeah Jerry is living every football fans dream. Using a sports franchise to set his family up for generations to come and helping players/employees get generational wealth as well. Jerry is truly living the American dream.
No one said you had to like the guy but it sounds like you're jealous!

the man has three to four corporations and employs about 2000 people, that is the American dream. that is helping employ people that is how it works and it sounds like you're jealous because you don't have $10 billion to buy a sports franchise but you have no problem trying to give advice from a fan base that think they can do it better???!

it's a joke you don't realize this man has so many layers to his management team and all his employees for all his corporations you think he's just a guy sitting at a desk running everything at his own whims like he's the king of England in the 1600s.. That's not how it works he set up like any other business and he's a corporation he's very successful and people are jealous because of it I mean we could be a lot worse here without the three lombardis he helped bring here let's not forget and don't say it was all Jimmy because he hired Jimmy Jimmy was his employee they were also friends so that would have never happened without Jerry. Let's also remember he's never let this team fall on its face we've been at least a top ten in regular season win percentage this team is relative more than it's not and at least we have a shot in the playoffs but hey if you wanna tell the guy he's not allowed to speak about his own team you know all the money he invested in the time that he puts in he's not allowed to come out and say anything you know what that makes you that makes you one of those people you're basically the Karen of sports forums you think you can do it better and you should have the right an entitlement to tell a man how he's allowed to speak or not speak about his own team.

People seem to forget that Jerry is the GM of this team as well. Maybe not in a traditional sense of GM but in title, he certianly is. And every GM of every team talks with the media and discusses the team. Jerry as the GM doesn't do anyhting different that the other GMs in the league.
Jerry likes to share his recipe for success with the fan base.

No way Cooks needs to play. Especially with Rush throwing him the ball.

Id give Gallup a few snaps, just for confidence.

Play the rooks.

At this point, the team knows at least 40 players who will be on this roster. Probably more.

It comes down to evaluating players fighting for those last 10 spots or so. They're the only ones that really need to play.

Oh, and Id love to see a new kicker out there Saturday.
I agree on the first bolded and disagree on the second bolded. I'm not sure which you mean or where guys fall as the yare kind of alluding to separate things. Most of those rookies (rounds 4 and up for sure) are on the team. But, you need to see the rookies playing in real games. It's not just about whether or not you make the team it's also about earning snaps and showing you can play STs when the pace is set to 100. Mazi and Fehoko may not play because of injuries and Schoonmaker may not be ready. But, I'm getting all of the others out there that are able

Agree on the kicker. We will get him some chances even if we have to force them.

It's not about talking, it's about the level of detail and what exactly is said. You can't possibly think there are other NFL owners out there making the types of statements Jerry does AND as often as he does. It's no secret teams always seem to have a pretty good idea about what we are doing in the draft for example...

Probably 80-90% of the snaps all preseason will be taken by players who will never play a meaningful regular season down for the Cowboys.

Some Examples- Brendan Knox and JaQuan Hardy were two of the leading rushers in Cowboys 2021 ps games. In 2022 preseason, Brandon Smith was the leading receiver. Smith, Knox and Hardy have never played a meaningful down in the Reg season for us.

I‘m not knocking any of these guys. They are busting their behinds to make an nfl roster. It’s just that most of them never will. I admire their dedication and commitment. Just trying to give some perspective.
Wish I had that commitment when I was that young. My commitment was partying and women, didn't get serious about my career until 30 yrs old.

Why can't fans managed to shut up and stop telling a man how to run his own team??

you know when you get your $10 Billion, when you get your three Lombardi's, and when you're actually running about 5 corporations with over 2k employees, you can have your own opinions about your stuff but how about you move on about your business and get out of jerry's.. .
I didn't realize you had to be a billionaire to have an opinion...were fans, we can have opinions all we want and Jones is a public figure so he is fair game.

Actually you have to be a multiple billionaire to even have an understanding of what he goes through on a daily basis and in fact if he wants to talk about his team in public why not??

I mean why not it is not causing extra controversy or putting extra heat or pressure on the team that's not already here as being part of the Dallas Cowboys but yes having empathy would mean you would have to experience what he goes through. I remember lots of this happening with the Lakers and the Yankees and remember what the Raiders sometimes when you're a special franchise with lots of history , sometimes the ownership might be eccentric.. We've seen this in real life we've seen stories of billionaires with weird eccentricities.

So for the Dallas Cowboys owner to wanna just say some things in social media every once in a while, who cares??? really?? seriously, I I don't really understand why he gets so much heat for it..
Like I've said before the man has hundreds of employees that are in management and layers and layers of employees between him and the team. it's not like the man sitting up on a pulpit yelling out things to do to every part of the team, I know that's what people want to insinuate and that's just not how it is he does not micromanage the Cowboys. he just likes to be in the news sometimes.

On an opinion forum? If fans didn’t have opinions here this place wouldn’t exist. The Zone is all about opinions- yours included. None of us are required to have billions to earn the right to have opinions about our team. Pro or con.

Blue you are always welcome to disagree with anyone’s opinion. But saying fans should “shut up and stop telling a man how to run his own team” seems strange in an opinion forum. In the end, I guess I’m just disagreeing with your opinion, lol.

Makes undermining his coaches a “talking sport”, lol.
Imo, as misguided as Jerry's mouth may seem to be, talking and being involved about his team, about his club is keeping Jerry " lively. "

You can keep replying with that same response daily to me and I'm gonna still tell you that people who think they can put themselves in Jerry Jones shoes and tell the man how to run his 10 billion dollar franchise, have their own issues to deal with before they start telling a grown man what he should and shouldn't say...

it's ridiculous, that's not an opinion... that's an egomaniacal response by clueless fanbase who have no experience doing what Jerry has ever done,
AND, not with just the Cowboys but again he owns three or four different corporations with over 2000 employees... I think he has a right to come in and say a few little short comments about his own team. like we've seen others who own I don't know, Tesla, Microsoft. TwitterX, Facebook and eccentric billionaires who have done this stuff in the past..
it is just his right to say what he wants without being criticized for it, when who's sticking the microphones in his face on a daily basis?? This is the nature of owning the Dallas Cowboys and also being the quarterback and a player on the Dallas Cowboys.. you were going to have probably three or four times the number of media up in your business all the time so it's going to seem like he's going out of his way to give them a few little quips..
It's not harmful the team in my opinion so who cares people make a big deal about it are a bunch of Karens, that's all I'm saying they're crying every time they see Jerry in the media well if it's happening so much why don't you just have already gotten used to it and move on ignore it??

Or he sits in on all the meetings and he hears this right from the coaches and just passes it on to the fans what's the problem here it's a preseason game anyway got to obvious we're not going to see many starters...
I dont know any other owners sitting in on coaches meetings. Do you? lol
