I always wondered how these no-name former pros like Sean, Merril Hoge, and Mark Schelereth got their jobs, was it because as a pro, they were always affable and accessible to the ESPN affiliates in lockerroom interviews or what? I can see why they would get a Deion, a Dan Marino, and even an Emmitt Smith, "oh great pros, so they know what they're talking about", although that's not always the case, but the other guys, not so much, anyone have any ideas? maybe they just filled out an application, who knows.
