What did the defense do so differently to Foles that other teams can't?

You mean he threw some Eli's?

No, because they werent clutch throws in a spotlight game of great magnitude when it counts the most. And E-Lie's pick six today was no big deal because it wasnt a game with a huge national audience making it a spotlight game. So E-Lie is still clutch in his own way.

I am not going to lie, I am very concerned about us losing the division now because the eagles now have a awful skins defense coming up and then a bye. So now we have to make sure we stay tied with them for the NFC East because they can easily pass us.

But what the hell did our defense do so differently that the raiders and packers could not?????? I mean I know I am not the only who thought that after the eagles fell to 3-5 with 2 striaight road games at Oakland and Greenbay, that we would not be sittting pretty right now with a 2 game lead since the eagles woiuld be 3-7 and we would be 5-5 after losing to the Saints tonight,.. I thought this game against the Saints was a "throw away game" since we would have a cushion after the eagles lost 2 in a row or atleast one of those games.

It was not our defense but it was our offense. The Raiders and quarterback-less Packers have almost zero offense.
We really need to win tonight but I know we have no shot and that sickens me

If its still a spotlight game they may as well since Romo will choke knowing the television audience is huge.

What does the television audience have to do with this game? Is it because it is a Sunday night game? Would the game be better off for Romo and the team to try and win if all of a sudden all TV across the nation went blank?

Where did you come up with this? lol

Some games attract a bigger audience than other games any intelligent fan knows that. Not every Sunday or Monday Night game is going to attract as big an audience as some. I mentioned the Jets game in 2011 as being a "spotlighted" game because that game was held in NYC on the 10th anniversary of 911. That game attracted a bigger audience than for a normal opening day game or Sunday Night game. It was a game that exceeded the game of football and the NFL picked the Cowboys to be part of that game because they're America's Team. I called the Denver game at "spotlighted" game because it was a game anticipated by many fans due to Peyton Manning's unbelievable start and how unstoppable Denver looked. It was a game that had shootout written all over it and I predicted a shootout prior to the game and even mentioned that Norm Van Broclin's 62 year old record of 554 passing yards could be in jeopardy. Romo had an opportunity to break that record and win the game in the process. By the time Romo threw the pick in the final 2 minutes the entire football country was glued to their sets watching that game. It's the games that everyone is focused on that Romo has had the greatest difficulty coming through in. Last weeks game vs Minn didn't attract a huge audience but it's the games vs weak opponents that Romo has come trough in.

In 07 he had another great comeback win in the final moments vs a 2 win Detroit team. It was another game that didn't attract a big audience. He had a great comeback vs SF in 2011 in week #2 but again it was a game that didn't attract a big audience. SF hadn't yet become the great team they did later that season. It's the elimination games and the marquee regular season games that Romo folds in. It's the games that draw the biggest audiences. Everyone was watching the Sunday night game in week 17 last season. It was the only game going and it had a playoff birth on the line. Romo ended up having his worst game of the season charting a 55.9 passer rating. It doesn't take a genius to know what games I'm referring to with Romo all it takes is an objective fan who understands there's certain games QB's are judged by. It's the "spotlighted" games that draw the biggest audiences and have the most riding on them that have given Romo the stigma he has.

He gets nervous when his receivers are wide open and misses.

Our defense instilled much fear in the Eagles. So much so that receivers had drops and Foles had a lot of bad throws on open targets. Thats the difference.

Nope, better not watch the rest of the games, because obviously the season is pointless as there is no chance. When's FA start again? Not that we'll have a chance to win...might as well wait til 2020 or so and see where things are.

I think it was sarcasm. The media keeps trying to argue that argue that Romo comes up small in these games because he knows everyone's watching, as if there was any merit to that.

Poor officiating as well on at least 2 blown PI calls that would have helped the Packers, but instead helped the Fecals. Both were huge in critical drive killing ways.

And, the Packers shot themselves in the foot numerous times.

The officials that game were brutal. I remember seeing the blown pass interference calls. At least 2 against the Eagles that probably cost them a touchdown, and at least 2 for Green Bay where they would have had at least a field goal. The Green Bay touchdown blown call originated from a blown call on the Eagles quarterback which was called down by contact, and reversed wrongly. Green Bay has a good defense but without Rogers they are nothing. At no time did I think Green Bay would win that game.

As far as Foles I thought he played pretty good. He did a good job throwing his receivers open. On 1 pass they had a rush up the middle that could have been intercepted, or a touchdown. Both the receiver and the defender lost it in the sun and it fell 8 feet in front of them. Classic Eli Manning duck. The only positive thing I took away from this game was injuries. Both teams lost a ton of players. 4 Green Bay starters, and 4 Eagles starters. A couple looked serious like Peters, their best lineman.

Green Bay played the same defensive scheme as we did. I'd say Foles just had a bad game, or was concussed early. We'll never know until the next time we play them. I'm impressed with their young quarterback, but he's no Romo, and that's what separates us from them.

Well, that is just stupid IMO. Every game the Dallas Cowboys play, even if it is against a 2-14 team and the Cowboys are 14-2, they are going to watch, period! I and millions of people have the Sunday Ticket so no matter when or where they play, people are watching. Whoever came up with that crap and just the haters of the Dallas Cowboys, specifically Romo.

We did nothing. Foles was just inaccurate all day. Blame the wind or maybe he was injured. But it was not us, IT WAS HIM.

I know, but I watch and listen to way too much NFL stuff on TV and XM. That's what they try to claim.

Getting back to the Packers, they had two missed field goals and two failed goalline passes to Jordy Nelson- one was a pick, one was incomplete on 4th down. There's 20 more points the Pack should have scored on the Eagles. Green Bay beat themselves today. I'm not sold on Philly, in fact, I see the Commanders beating them next week.
