What do We See the Giants Doing Differently

Do you see the Giants playing any differently based upon these last two games? What do you think they are doing better than when they last played us?

One thing I noticed in the Tampa Bay game is that TB was overly aggressive and the Giants compensated well for this. The Giants seemed to attack the linebackers with quick passes over the middle. Even when Manning was forced out of the pocket, the LBs seemed to drop off their men and over-pursue Manning, allowing the easy pass over the middle

The guy only threw for 185 yards, with a 6.9 AVG, the longest pass being 21 yards.

The OL has played pretty well.

Eli looks more comfortable without shockey crying for the ball all the time. the giants beat a one dimensional team yesterday. i don't fear them at all.

I don't see the giants being different or changing. They want to run to setup playaction. It is critical that Dallas not allow the Giants success on the ground. As for Manning taking the shorter passes that had a lot to do with the Tampa coverage using the 2 deep cover.

They will not do anything different.

The only reason they would change their strategy is if Terrell Owens plays hurt, does not play at all or Terry Glenn is causing problems in their Secondary.

On offense, they are really going to try to run Brandon Jacobs.

The Cowboys leaky run defense has be ready.

Well... we are probably going to try and take away the run.... play off their WR's and protect the deep stuff...

All Romo has to do is match them score for score and we need an extra field goal.

Strahan yesterday in an interview said they'll go back and look at what the Eagles did defensively in our second game against them this year and see what they did to slow our offense down.

I hope we get ready for that.

No doubt taking away the run is critical I think if we can keep Manning in 2nd and 3rd and long Dallas will be able to put the pressure on him and force mistakes.

I don't see them doing anything different on offense.

Cowboys have to stop the run and their screens and dumpoffs.

I say good luck with that. They don't have what the Eagles have or else they would have been doing that all year. They have to go for what they know. Their DC came from the Eagles staff and if they could adjust to do what the Eagles do in the secondary they could have done it in the second game against us.

They just better hope Romo comes out drunk like he did in our second game against the Eagles. Then possibly things could turn out similar. I just don't think we will throw away a chance to take the lead at the end of the game like that again...

3rd and long...:scream:

You just started my nightmare a few days early...

Lets not kid ourselves... the Giants are gonna score on us... we will continue to give up 1st downs on 3rd and long.... that doesnt just heal itself.... unless we are going to get agressive(which we need to on 3rd and long) which we need to do... cant have ANY QB back there surveying the field for 5-7 seconds

1st time we played them (no Newman) they scored 35 point next meeting 20 points. I do expect us to keep them from putting up a lot of points. I expect Dallas defense to put the pressure on Manning and force mistakes. When you can take away the running game and force Manning into stright drop backs he is not as effective as he is when he is able to run playaction.

We need to play their run game like Tampa did in the first half getting a lot of penetration and getting to Jacobs before he gets going. Our tackling needs to be sure because Bradshaw does not go down easily.

Their secondary is playing better coverage and tackling well.

Offense:
The Giants have kept their passing game nice and short for the last half of the season. Manning has responded well to this so look for more of the same plus running the ball, all of which lead to managable down and distance situations for the Giants. Thats their game and they should play it as long as they can, looking for turnovers or St plays to make the difference. If they get behind, they'll have to open it up and that could be good or bad depending on how many picks Eli throws.

Defense:
Penetrate and cover the hot reads. Hope that you can get Romo out of sinc and that Dallas doesnt try to hard to run the ball.

I think they've sort of let it all hang out the last couple of weeks.

But what do we see? They're gonna run the ball. When Eli has the ball, they're gonna be simple about the plays they give him. MUST get pressure on him from the Dline/Ware/Ellis on obvious passing downs.

I see them using Brandon Jacobs in through the middle in this game. The past 3 or 4 games we got smashed through the middle by the RB. I bet your gonna see Plaxico in motion alot to try to get a bad matchup. and Eli will stay inside the numbers with most of his passes this time to try to counter the speed of our corners

I don't think they are doing any thing different. They are executing better.
