Dallas defense had a lot to do with them looking bad. Give our defense some credit.
THIS. Plus. I am here for my plate of crow. Pass the salt please. Man was I off the mark pregame. Im happy to eat my crow. What a win in every phase. This team showed me who they are. This feels different to me than the DQ teams on D. I saw some grit and boy, if we can learn to finish better when we get ahold of the QB, we will be a force. Game 1, we just knocking off some rust. Sky is the limit

You can start chewing crow but pump the brakes on swallowing it.

This is just one game and although the defense looked much improved we have to see how the Browns offense looks against other teams before drawing conclusions

Again, they looked good but it's just game 1. Remember getting out butt's handed to us by the Bucs a couple seasons ago? We still managed 12 wins after that thrashing.

Dallas made the Browns look bad. Though some on here will say Dallas still was bad.
It was a great opening day win against a team who was in the playoffs last year. A team that was a top defense with a bruising running game. The Cowboys manhandled them.

The Cowboys know what Cleveland feels like. But It is one game. The Browns were missing both of their starting offensive tackles and I don't care who you are, that has to hurt a little.

The Cowboys, and in particular Micah Parsons, can get into a QBs head and I am sure they did yesterday. They got a lot of pressure on Watson and it as affecting his throws. Some were early and some I am sure were the result of him watching the pressure come. This is what Micah does to offenses. It is why he is the best defensive player in the league.

Cleveland is a good football team and they will beat a lot of teams this year. Dallas was just better yesterday. But don't get too hyped up because it wasn't that long ago when the Packers made Dallas look like Cleveland.

Cleveland has to be thinking why the heck they ever gave up three first round picks for Deshaun Watson. The Browns are one of the best examples of how difficult it is to find a franchise QB and what can happen when you get desperate trying to find one. They haven’t had a solid QB situation dating all the way back to Bernie Kosar. They would have been better off keeping Baker Mayfield who’s having success with the Bucs. He’s been better than Deshaun Watson. The time away from football dealing withoff the field problems has clearly affected Watson‘s game. He’s not even close to the QB he was when he left Houston. Even then he wasn’t winning a lot of games. He was 4-12 his last season in Houston. Moving on from him couldn’t have worked out any better for the Texans. CJ Stroud is a much better QB than Watson.

Yep.
One game.
Take the easy win and move on to week 2,
but don't make season-long assessments based on one week.

Disastrous move by Cleveland.

To be fair, the game was over then and Browns just going through the motions to end the game and get on to next week as quickly as possible. And with onside kicks the way they are now, it will make it even harder.

The real issues with Watson was the 1st half and just how many throws were not even close to being on target. Like a high school QB stepped in and was trying to play against an NFL defense. He has had one single good year in his NFL career and that was Houston 2019. Not sure if it was just a fluke or his injuries and suspension got him off the rails and never got back to normal. Reminds me of another Clemson QB who got a ton of hype, won a single playoff game and then fell off (Trevor Lawrence). But at least Lawrence still looks somewhat competent. Watson is very bad right now.

Has to be the modern day trade. Houston was able to resurrect their dead franchise with that trade and now look to have their franchise QB and playmakers to go with him. And beyond that, they guaranteed him $230million years ago when this was unheard of. And now the guy they let walk, Baker Mayfield, looks way better lol. Typical Cleveland Browns.

They’re not the only who made a disastrous move, look at Carolina. Bryce Young had one of the worst performances of his career yesterday. He sucks! Carolina could’ve had CJ Stroud or Anthony Richardson. Both have looked way better than Young who doesn’t even look like an NFL QB. He looks like an average size WR playing QB. Carolina could’ve had Caleb Williams had they not made that stupid trade to move up for Young. I’m so relieved we’re not having to look for another QB next year….whew!
