Click bait is deliberately writing a story a certain way to ensure a ton of people go to the site so said site gets paid advertising dollars.

Put it this way, it is more lucrative to write negative stories or threads as more people click on it than not.

If I write, damn I love Prescott, maybe five people will click on it. If I write, Prescott sucks and will fail next year, 500 people will click.

Think of it this way, how many more posts are there on this site after a loss than a win
