What does it take to play 4 quarters?

Didn't we have this slow start problem in 2007 too? Don't know what they did to fix it then but maybe they should look at their old notes.
They never did fix it...it just didn't catch up to them until the last month or so of the season.

I don't remember a slow start problem from that team remotely close to what we're seeing from this team. The 07 team had what may have been the most explosive offense in franchise history. That team averaged around 32 points a game for the first 12 weeks and those points weren't all coming in the second half. Scoring TD's wasn't a problem for the 07 team because they could run the ball into the end zone.

The Cowboys were putting TD's on the board through the air and on the ground. MB3 had 10 rushing TD's that season. The Cowboys were jumping out to leads in 07 the current team gets beat down in the first half before waking up in the second half. The Cowboys have been outscored in the first half 58-13 in their last 3 games.

The last month of the season that team became complacent and Romo's game came apart. He started replacing TD passes with turnovers. The 07 team never scored fewer than 24 points the first 13 games.

Yea, but the consistently came out of the gate slow and were able to overcome it. Mistakes, penalties, and turnovers were always there but because we were winning, they were never made an issue.

I don't remember that team consistently coming out of the gate slow. You don't continually overcome slow starts and go 12-1. Mistakes, penalties and turnovers didn't become an issue for that team until the final month of the season when they lost their focus and Romo lost his game. What we've seen this season with the Cowboys and the past 2 seasons we weren't seeing back in 07. You don't go 13-3 stumbling out of the gates every week with repeated penalties and turnovers. Mistakes, penalties and turnovers don't lead to 32 points per game. Witten and TO combined for 22 TD's and as I mentioned earlier Barber added 10 TD's on the ground.

Romo tossed 36 TD passes and the Cowboys had 14 rushing TD's in 07. Mistakes, penalties and turnovers are drive killers that's the main reason the current team isn't scoring much and has had to settle for FG's. The final 4 games of the 07 season must be what you have ingrained in your memory. The problems that season started in Detroit with a slow start and having to struggle to come back. That season was downhill from there.
