What exactly is Reeves function?

AS a coach I thought he was better than average. I thought he actually did his best job with the 98 Falcons with a balanced offence, alot of running Jamal Anderson. His teams did not seem to beat themselves with penalties and turnovers. In Denver it seemed Elway saved his bacon in alot of games, and his defences were mediocre at best with only Dennis Smith a stand out. Those Denver teams never really had alot of talent, was he making personel decisions there?

Everyone seems to be talking like Reeves is a done deal. Has this been made official? Remember how sure we were that Garrett was gone to the Rams?

This is a done deal and one that I feel is good for the team. He is well respected and a no-nonsense coach - two things that are needed in this clown locker

The guy here in Dallas who does a show with Matt Mosley is named Brian Esteridge. When mosley told him he called for reeves and he was in stewarts office, esteridge thought it meant he might be the Defensive Coordinator.

Now I know esteridge is a know nothing blabber mouth, but that took the cake. I thought he was joking, the way mosley reacted I think he wasnt.

Esteridge was the worst guy on the radio here locally until the salisbury and scruggs show started. Now there is a three way tie.

To keep Jerry from making bad personel moves like Tank, Pacman, and TO. If you've been arrested or are a troublemaker you are more than welcome in Dallas. Hopefully that will change because it's just stupid. He should have learned that after signing Deion.

I hope this whole ordeal isn't just another of Jerry's efforts to bring unwanted attention to the Cowboys. If Reeves truly is a consultant then only he should disclose what his role will be because it is his expertise Jerry is paying for without, presumably, any pre-conditions.

I think Dan's role may well be to help Jerry refrain from bringing "problem children" into the organization.

It may also include observing Wade's appproach to doing things and helping critique this approach. This is what Wade said he wanted to do. We can't alter the roster so much, so the change has to come from the coaches. He may also be someone to stand w/ Wade if he wants to go against Jerry and provide Wade moral support in making tough decisions. You can argue that a HC shouldn't need this support, but Jerry doesn't have 500 coaches that will come here and work for him w/ his reputation.

I personally don't have a problem w/ bring in anyone who can make a legitimate contribution to getting the most we can out of this team...
