Good question. When Kellen was there? Did they implement a FB at all?
“Kellen Moore is a coach.” Gruden said in a teleconference with the media. “He could probably be an offensive coordinator for a lot of teams. This guy knows the game insides and out. Moore is the ringleader of the Boise State Broncos. He’s only a couple plays away from being 53-0.”
“The system of football at Boise is very demanding. They shift more than any team in the country other than maybe Stanford. The volume of different plays, it’s incredible. They do more than a lot of NFL teams.”
Our whole goal from an outside perspective is to make it as confusing as possible” - Kellen Moore.
They were up tempo.
Ran 75 plays again. Pretty much dead even split between run and pass.
Pedersen's offense had souped up WRs/undersized TEs functioning as H-backs.When Kellen was there? Did they implement a FB at all?
This is very much like Pedersen's approach. There was no "offense", they ran a collection of plays that were built around numerical mismatches and a show and deceive style. Our whole goal from an outside perspective is to make it as confusing as possible” - Kellen Moore.

The Broncos offense in the Kellen Moore years was mostly 11 and 10 personnel run out of the shotgun. They called it a spread offense at the time, but it's basically the baseline NFL offense a decade later.
That being said, they did use a dedicated old school style FB in power and short yardage situations. Looking him up, said FB actually hung around in the pros for 4 seasons with the Panthers too.
Here's a whole game from Moore's senior year versus Georgia if you want to see the BSU offense in action. You can see offensive drives starting at 13:23, 28:37, 35:25, 52:07, 1:06:49, 1:33:08, 1:37:18, 1:52:48, 2:08:08, and 2:20:56. Moore destroys in this game too. Let's go Broncos.
Pedersen's offense had souped up WRs/undersized TEs functioning as H-backs.
So the true fullback type like you are thinking about was not utilized much.
yes, but neither one are I-formation fullbacks.. the Eagles don't do I-formation.. they line up the TE2 offset and motion him back and forth like an H-back.. but he's much more likely to be a pass catcher than a lead blocker. No need for a FB when you have a TE2 who can move, block, and catch. Jarwin seems like a decent candidate for FB on our team. For 4 years Trey Burton was listed as the only fullback on the roster. And now it’s Dallas Goedert.
Pedersen's first few years in Washington have brought some complaining from their base when scoring actually went down when he took over. The Moore ideology hopefully is not an exact tired clone of that. But we have seen that before when Jason Garrett continued what he learned from Turner and Zampese.Watched the first two drives and it looked horrid. Looked like Garrett 2.0. No movement, boring, nothing.

on # 2, that requires good execution, and qb having time to throw, so I have my doubts on dallas being able to do this properly.1.Boise offense was about misdirection and mismatches. Bease and Hurns should tear up defense in this offense.
2. But most importantly, it was a timing offense. Moore threw the ball to an empty spot relying on the WR/RB/TE to be there.
I dont know. I was disoriented by the blue turf. When Kellen was there? Did they implement a FB at all?

I'm not sure but they better have some involving the TE running two yards catching the ball and falling down for Witten or we might as well write the entire year off.
