What free agents do you guys hope the cowboys get in the off season? Be realistic. Bentley and Hutchinson will be frachised if they don't sign long term deals. Thoughts???

Fine I'll go next since no one is responding. I would not want Owens, Wayne, or Abraham. They will want huge contracts. I would rather sign a lot of mid priced solid players. You need vegetables and side dishes to go with steak. Too many stars will leave you thin at other positions.

Trade:
1. Ellis for a 3rd round pick. Some team will give up at least a 3rd.
2. Glover for a 4th round pick. Some team will give up at least a 4th

Sign these players:
1. Kalimba Edwards - Has good size, speed, strength, and pass rushing ability. He is already a DE/OLB. Played pass rushing DE for the Lions and was a LBer in college. 6'6" and weighs 265 lbs. He is a pure pass rusher who had 7 or 8 sacks this season Would compliment Ware perfectly on the opposite side.
2. Akin Adoyele - Has good size, speed, strength, and pass rushing skills as well. Played situational pass rush DE in college. Made the move to OLB for Jacksonville. He is 6'2" and weighs 257 lbs. Not the pass rusher Kalimba Edwards is but has much better coverage ability. Move him to ILB
3. Larry Tripplet - A good pass rushing DT. Solid Player that plays the run fairly well. He would be the pass rusher on obvious passing downs.
4. Koren Robinson - Give him just enough money to sign him. Put a protective clause in his contract that would allow us to recoup his signing bonus if the gets suspended again for substance abuse. Pay him well, but Cowboys should protect themselves. He looks like he is going to break out next year.
5. Chris Hope - The steeler FS is solid nothing else. Much better cover skills than Davis.
6. Mike Vaderjagt - The only high priced FA we should bring in!!

Draft: In this order
1. Marcus McNeil - The Auburn RT looks like the real deal!!
2. Charles Spencer - This Pittsburgh G has flashed dominance at times. Needs to work on technique a little. Should still be there in the 2nd round
3. Charlie Whitehurst - Clemson quarterback has all the tools, but is still raw. Won't be ready to effectively start for about another year and a half. The perfect situation with Bledsoe still at quarterback.
3. Babatunde Oshinowo - Solid run stuffing NT. 6'2" at 320lbs. Very smart. Will help push Ferguson or take his job. Not much of a pass rusher.
4. Jason Allen. Tennesee FS has all the physical attributes. Similar to Ed Reed but much taller at 6'2". A major injury will drop his stock. If he is not ready to go, Chris Hope will get the nod. Could be the steal of the draft. This years Chris Canty.
5. Shawn Willis. This FB from Oklahoma St. is huge. 6'1" at 260lbs. Screw pass catching FBs I want someone who can lay the hammer.
6. through 7 picks take the BPA

The finished roster would look like this:
Offense:
QB - Bledsoe, Romo, Whitehurst
HB - Jones, Barber, Thompson
FB - Willis
TE - Witten, Campbell, Ryan
1st WR - Glenn
2nd WR - Johnson
3rd WR - Robinson - Could play slot and step up in case of injury. Let him challenge for a starting job though.
4th and 5th - Crayton and Copper
LT - Adams, Columbo
LG - Charlie Spencer, Tucker move him back to guard
C - Gurode or Johnson. No rotation. The winner gets the job and the loser gets the pine. Rotation hurt both players this year. Neither one was able to get in rythm with the constant changing of personnel.
RG - Allen if he will structure. Rivera if he will not. Let Peterman challenge for the job if Allen leaves. hopefully he will regulate Rivera to backup guard at both positions.
RT - Marcus McNeil, Pettitti

DE - Spears, Thomas Johnson
NT - Ferguson, Triplett, Babatunde Oshinowo
DE - Canty, Ratliff
ROLB - Kalima Edwards, Fujita
RILB - James, Fowler
LILB - Akin Adoyele, Shanle
LOLB - Ware, Burnett
LCB - Newman
RCB - Henry
3rd CB Glenn
4th CB Reeves
FS - Jason Allen (if he is healthy he starts), Chris Hope (starts if Allen isn't ready to go), Beriault
SS - Williams, Davis
K - Mike Vaderjagt
P - Mat McBrair

What would you guys think of this as our roster for next season. No Superstars, should have cap room avialable with this scenario to sign a big time free agent if one becomes available such as Hutchinson or Bentley. We won't get them, but will have the cap room to get one if they are there. I didn't take a center in the draft because they are all like Al Johnson. No improvement unless Bentley becomes available. We could draft a reciever, guard, and center in the next draft.

corey chavous, reggie wayne, and one of the top tackles available. I know I'll get bashed for this one but how about josh mccown. I like this kid and he is further along than the other young QB's on our roster. What do you guys think?

I would love to have triplett in obvious passing downs. He is very fast for a DT. He is too small for the 3-4, but when we go to our nickel and dime packages he would help us a lot.

McCown looked alot better than Kurt Warner. Hell he looked better than Michael Vick who got into the pro bowl.

sorry to burst your bubble, but Akin Adoyele isn't going to come for mid-price, the word is out on him

If Bently and Hutch become FAs go for them big time. And any Kicker who is good would be a good FA to. Also TO of course.

I know but he would be much cheaper than I don't play hurt John Abraham and I do what I want to do Lavar Arrington. He would be a bargain compared to those two turds.

I would be satisfied if they signed a FA kicker and retained their own free agents + Glover and Ellis.

What picks would you guys make in the draft? You already seen mine on the monstrous post I put up.

Like your picks. Baskett might go in the 2nd though. You could get a 3d for Ellis and a 4th for Glover.

I think Baskett makes it into the 3rd, he's considered a sleeper, and I don't see him wowing scouts with his 40 time, and this class for WRs is weak, I think he falls into our laps
